I’m pretty easy to please when it comes to Chinese food, but this place just didn’t do it for me. I ordered kung pao chicken and the sauce was super oily and practically tasteless, it needs sugar or cornstarch so it’ll adhere to the chicken and veggies properly. But the veggies and chicken were very fresh and were cooked perfectly.Hot& sour and egg drop soups were sub par. We got chicken lo mein for the kids and they ate it fine but I didn’t care for it. My husband got sesame chicken which was pretty good, I appreciated that it was served with broccoli. I actually ended up using the leftover sauce at the bottom of the sesame chicken container and put my kung pao in it, which was delicious.

This is a nice little Chinese restaurant in Pocatello. The General’s Chicken was really good, and I heard the Chicken and Broccoli was good too… But there wasn’t any left for me to try 🙂 . They have a kids menu, which offers both Chinese and American choices. The wait staff was helpful and the owner checked in on us to see if things were good. I saw some lower ratings but I recommend this restaurant and would visited again.

Very good food. They actually offer gluten-free items which is wonderful. Service was a little slow but they were very very busy.

Excellent food in a great atmosphere. Their award winning General Tao’s chicken deserves that title.

The waiter was wonderful. The food was wonderful. I had the pan Thai noodles and added spicy sauce which was to die for. Hubby had the chicken mushi wonderful. My daughter had the sweet and sour pork cooked to perfection. Her roommate had orange chicken which had real orange sauce. I would recommend.

Very good food, high quality service. However, the portions were too big for one meal and just barely too small too justify taking home, unless you’re not a big eater. That aside, they were fantastic. I especially recommend the hot and sour soup. It was incredible on the day that I had it.

Our family was visiting from Utah and decided to eat here while in Pocatello. These kinds of restaurants are hit and miss but I really liked the meals we got. We got a beef and chicken lo mein with sweet and sour chicken. It was all really good. Also the egg roll was excellent.

Chang’s Garden is one of the best Restaurants in Pocatello and one of the best Chinese/American cuisines I’ve been to in 26 states of travel. The decor leaves a little to be desired but the food always has arrived fresh, at proper temperature, having a pleasing appearance and fragrance and most importantly the food is made of quality ingredients and tastes great. Sometimes they get a server that doesn’t do a great job but, who doesn’t have one of those once in a while? Over all the quality of food and friendly atmosphere make for a great experience.

I’m very picky about Chinese restaurants – there are not many I would go back to, Changs Graden being the only exception locally. This little gem is on a par with the best – the food is flavoursome and fresh, the atmosphere is cozyand can challenge with there spices. A most try if you are on town
