We found this little gem while vacationing nearby. The menu had something for everyone. The steaks were amazing: nice char, excellent seasoning, done to our specifications (although the medium rare was more on the rare side). The burger was inhaled by our son who is very picky about his foods, the cilantro lime chicken salad was devoured by our daughter, and the apps barely had time to make it on the table . The only thing that was underwhelming was the clam chowder. It seemed to be a mass-produced versus in-house made.

We had a very pleasant dinner on a dark and stormy night. Wait staff was friendly, helpful, and attentive. We had an opportunity to meet the owner, who pleasant and friendly. Our steaks were tasty and tender and our cocktails were well made and large. All in all we could not have had a better evening.

Looks can be deceiving. The plates were attractive and that is the kindest thing I can say about the entrées. The restaurant was not busy but we waited at the door for almost 10 minutes before being seated. Ok. There were only 2 servers and they both had a couple tables each. This was our first visit so we took a few minutes to look over the menu. We settled on appetizers (fried pickles ($8) and potato skins($10) to share and a bowl of house chili ($7.50) (as a starter for the husband. The fried pickles and sauce were absolutely delicious. A decent portion for the price. 3 potato skins with sour cream on the side were ok – greasy but after adding a little salt and pepper they were ok. The chili arrived and was room temperature. It was tasty but cold chili didn’t make a good impression. Our server was friendly. It took a long time for the food to arrive. The plates were very nice looking. The Steak Tip Poutine ($18) was five pieces of steak on top of cold congealed gravy on top of cold weirdly dry handcut fries (that seemed baked not fried). The Fish and Chips ($20) were generously portioned. The fries were cold and tasteless. The fish smelled so bad I tried to eat it but couldn’t. The fish was served extremely hot but the breading immediately separated from the fish and again, the smell made it impossible to eat. It was haddock but I couldn’t get past the smell. The Uncle Tim’s steak ($22) was the only meal we bothered to take home. The comment made was “I’m hungry and not picky” but apparently the mashed potatoes were very good. Yay? I was so excited to finally get to try this restaurant. $92 (plus $20 tip for the server) made for an expensive one time trip.

food should be served hot, not cold. ordered steak tip poutine and got 6 little burnt pieces of steak and cold gravy and fries. the appetizers were cold and bland. fried pickles were cold and chewy yet the dipping sauce was tasty. the server was very nice and friendly when she was there. staff was very inattentive to our needs. wife ordered fish and chips. fish smelled rancid and fries were ice cold. when you talk to the owners about the service and food they shift blame and will not compensate even though they watched the cameras. if they watched the cameras they can clearly see that our service and food was horrible. Definitely will not recommend anyone to go there until these issues are corrected.

This town has been in desperate need of a restaurant that isn’t a diner or pizza place. I came in hoping Chamberlain’s would fill the hole left when Brian’s headed to Bethel. The place looks real nice and is clearly family run. I had chili, which was very good (but a little too salty) and a fried chicken sandwich on a biscuit with sausage gravy and provolone. It was delicious. Hand cut fries and a biscuit smothered in gravy and chicken. The prices were very reasonable. My only concern is that the menu was pretty small. There is a full bar and a friendly staff.

Great service, nice atmosphere, decent prices, what more can I say. Had the steak tips poutine, which I’ll definitely order again, and the butterscotch bread pudding was amazing. Felt like the waitress could read my mind, refilled drinks promptly, she had all around great timing. Will be back me and the gf enjoy it here.
