My favorite Thai restaurant! My dinner consisted of shrimp spring rolls, Tom Yum soup, Amazing Thai with shrimp, and some homemade Thai ice cream to finish (Thai tea and Pandan flavor). Everything was amazing. The Tom Yum soup and the ice cream are both out of this world, highly recommended! You could order anything here and not go wrong. It might not look like much from the outside, but inside the atmosphere is clean, cozy, and casual. The service was great too. 9.2/10

This place is extremely underrated. I always order the Pad See Ew with thin noodles, the consistency/flavor of the egg and noodles combined with the spices is delicious. We also get the noodle soup with chicken, the broth is clear and is so flavorful and savory. Portion sizes are great too. My favorite Thai place in Richmond hands down.

I was shocked at how empty this place was shortly after 12 on a Saturday. Their lunch specials are very reasonably priced and everything they had was so tasty! From the Thai iced tea, to the drunken noodles and the mussamun curry. The environment was great and the server was just as delightful. Wish they got the traction here that they deserve!!

I thoroughly enjoyed my dining experience at Chadar Thai. My favorite dish was the Tom Yum Soup– bright lemongrass flavor and nice spice! You can specify spice level on almost all dishes, as well as include whatever meats or tofu and veggies you want. Dumplings and curries were great too! We were able to place our order on my phone at the table and the waiter still made sure to check on us several times and refill our drinks — seamless, pleasant experience. I especially loved that there are pictures of everything on the digital menu.

The pad num pik pao (E12) was the highlight of my meal. The service was wonderful. I can’t wait to try other dishes.

Our favorite Thai take-out in Richmond! Portions are generous, the spices are on-point, and the prices are quite reasonable.

Recently moved to the area and we were looking for a good Thai place. So impressed with our first visit! I had the panang curry and my husband had the drunken noodles. So yummy, rivals Thai food I had in California. We will for sure be back!

Service was ok, I did order unsweetened tea and it tasted old (they need to make fresh every day) Everyone agrees the food was flavorful but I felt like my drunken noodles was a little overcooked. The lunch tray was plentiful and a good price.

2 star reviews a extremely rare for me, but this food was extremely disappointing. I’d give 1 star but maybe it’s an off night. The chicken satay was bland and chewy. In my 35 years I’ve never disliked chicken satay, but this place accomplished that. The “Amazing Thai” was not amazing. It was some veggies which were ok, and some very thin beef that was paler than the chicken, SWIMMING in bland watery and weirdly sweet peanut sauce. To boot, I requested “Thai hot” the highest on the scale, and it was… Meh slightly spicy. I threw 95% in the garage.
