Hadn’t eaten there since the late eighties when I worked in the area but always remembered it when I was looking for good Greek pizza. 35 years later I drive by se still there and had to stop in! Same family owners same great pizza. Take out only ever since covid they said. But anybody that remembers good old-fashioned Greek style pizza if you’re in Central Connecticut it’s definitely worth the stop

Central pizza has good food. The problem is with consistency. Either the pizza, dinners and grinders are over cooked until the cheese is brown and crunchy or key ingredients are left off of the grinders . Everytime I order there’s a problem….I just wish they could get it right because the food is actually good They need more help or something and they are always very busy. They need to assign one person to oversee items in the oven, to make sure things are taken out timely. Nobody likes over cooked food that is way too expensive these days to have to eat mistakes. There’s no joy in eating an over cooked, dried out pizza.

I ordered a salad and a small pepperoni. The pizza was good, salad was a basic grilled chicken but the chicken could have been cooked a little more tbh. The reason behind my 2 star rating is the atmosphere and service. Extremely unwelcoming! I ordered over the phone and when I went to pick up I waited a few minutes until someone popped their head out (no problem) but once they saw me, instead of saying hi or giving a friendly greeting I got a stern/ annoyed look and tone asking “what’d you get?” I told them my number and order and the lady nearly threw the bag with salad towards me. Then I waited a little longer for my pizza to be done (again, no worries I understood) but once it was ready it was just sitting on the edge of the oven and no one was handing it to me lol a nice gentleman realized my patience and handed it to me in embarrassment. Food is fine but service is super unfriendly! Very weird…

I did not eat in take out for the company I work for . It’s Greek style pizza. They do not skimp on toppings. There grilled chicken is delicious. I’ve had their chicken Parm ginder a whole one it’s about 18 inches long and it’s yummy. Very reasonable prices.

I worked in one of the top rated Greek style pizza shops in my hometown back in New Hampshire and this place would blow it out of the water. Flavorful sauce, not too much nor too little cheese, generous on toppings for pizza, massive portions on pasta dinners. Never been disappointed out of the few times I’ve came here. Definitely my new go to place for pizza!

I’ve been having this pizza since I was a little girl even after moving to Pennsylvania over 10 years ago. Now whenever I have relatives go to Connecticut, I’m sure to order a whole pizza. It is my favorite, and I highly recommend it.

Central Pizza is the best. Had a meat lovers pizza and it was incredibly thick and meaty. They dont cut back on the toppings.
