Not a fan of Celia’s in San Bruno. Bad service & bad food. The San Mateo location is better. I ordered Albondigas Soup. The chicken meatballs looked & taste like popcorn balls. The soup consisted of 2 small meatballs, 3 carrot slices & 2 Zucchini rounds. There is a small free parking lot on the side of building. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible & so are the restrooms. There is a full bar for drinks. This is a great family restaurant for those who don’t really know what real Mexican food is suppose to tease like.

The drinks we’re fine, but the food was not. It may just have been the dish I chose, I don’t know. I was disappointed. I ordered the shrimp burrito. It had a sauce that looked like tomatoes puree on top. The sauce didn’t have a good flavor. I tried to make it work by eating the inside. Inside, there was barely any shrimp, and it had a lot of sautéed onion. The place looked nice on the inside and they have parking on the side.

I gave a taco party at San Bruno Celia’s. They ?were wonderful in giving us the end room which turned out to be the perfect place to have a get together. We had the brightly decorated room to ourselves at 11:00 in the morning. The waitstaff were attentive and charming.

Celia’s has a great happy hour. If they get too busy, though, the service can be slow. But even if it is, the kitchen is usually fast. Just be sure to place your order when the opportunity arises.

Service was the best overall:) Food was also delicious. Great seafood options and a full bar! They have a great lunch menu 🙂

For all the years that I’ve been in San Bruno, surprisingly this was my first visit to this Celia’s. I’ve been to Daly City and San Mateo.

I’ve found my spot for authentic Mexican restaurant food. Nobody comes close to Celia’s. I’m returning. Excellent fair pricing. Excellent service.

The ambiance and customer service don’t always match the food quality in today’s age of restaurants. The greater Bay Area has many options yet people or customers return to this specific location for the service here after work on Fridays is best time.

We stopped here before picking up passengers at SFO. We have eaten at another location of this “chain.”

I do love this cuisine. But I had a dilemma. Finish the burrito and leave no room for the libations? Or, box the burrito and take it with me? Easy decision. The burrito was so good, who wouldn’t want seconds later! And I am not one to partake in alcohol abuse. No Sir no Ma’am. Can’t do it, won’t do it.
