My husband and I celebrated our 23rd anniversary today and decided to check out this new place! What a great choice we made!! The food was outstanding and our waitress was amazing!! I wish I had gotten her name. I had the shrimp and grits, my husband had an omelet! Both were amazing! I recommend you check this place out!!!

Y’all are SLEEPING on Cave. (Sorry about the half eaten plates we were too excited to eat haha). We were having a hard week and just wanted a really good pick me up. We saw this place on Facebook and had to try it. It’s down on Mulberry st and it is LITERALLY the best shrimp and grits I’ve ever had. And the beignets were delicious. Hubby is so happy to have found some that remind him of his Louisiana TDY haha. And as a bonus they are black and veteran owned and offer a military discount y’all gotta go here.

Went to celebrate a friend’s birthday I was very excited. We ordered and it took nearly an hour for food(there weren’t that many people there we were there at 12 15) so the food looked delightful but was VERY BLAND I got the Cajun salmon and grits to many onions and peppers but it still had no flavor….I may go back and try something different but the slow service was a big turn off

I hadn’t heard about The Cave Lounge until I was invited to go there yesterday. The food was great! The service was great! The atmosphere was great! Did I mention the good was great?! I had the chicken and waffles and pound cake French toast and beignets. All at one sitting!!! OMG!!! That’s what happens when everything looks and sounds and taste so good!!! Great experience!!! Highly recommend!!!

Had the Salmon&Grits Bowl and Chicken&Waffles. Right up there with some of the best. Grits cooked to perfection and the gravy is amazing. Add some hot sauce and it is right in the sweet spot.

The staff was super friendly the food was amazing. We got the honey garlic chicken and bacon infused waffles and French toast pound cake. I would totally be back. The food was so full of flavor and the portions sizes were perfect.

I went to this establishment yesterday (30 Apr 2023). I was meeting a friend for brunch. They opened at 12pm and I walked in at 12:05pm. The restaurant was already busy, so I sat and waited. About 10 minutes later, someone ask for my drink order, I said water and coffee. I received them 10 minutes later. I “thought” that was a good sign. 10 minutes later we placed our order. Me and my friend started talking and the waitress came and said it would be a few minutes because they were short staffed and she was the only one working the front. We said no problem we understand. After a short while, she said the food would be right out, we said ok. At around 2:10pm, I realized we would never get our food. I politely walked up front and said we would be leaving, attempting to pay for the coffee and she said it was ok and apologized. I gave this restaurant one star because the only thing so could rate it for was the coffee and it wasn’t the waitresses fault. I never received any food and there wasn’t a manager in sight.

I was so excited to try this new place out! It looked so cute and the food looked good when we walked in! However, let me say that I’ve worked in the service industry for 7 years and I know how hard it can be. But the experience I had today doesn’t come close to what I’ve gone through before. After sitting down and waiting for 10 minutes just to order our drinks, we decided to order food at the same time. Then, we waited 20 minutes for our two black hot coffees and Diet Come to come out. After that, another 30 minutes went by until the manager came to bring us an appetizer and say she’s “checking on” our meal. It was another 20 minutes until we finally got our meal which was average for the high price. It was not seasoned and very plain for something I could make better at home. We asked what they could do for us since we had such a long wait and the manager proceeded to justify the reasons we waited and that an appetizer should’ve fixed everything. She shrugged her shoulders like she couldn’t do anything and never apologized. She finally offered 10% off my $17 meal which came to $15.30 for a coffee (that came in Styrofoam) and average omelette…. Not coming back due to the lack of kind service and care by a restaurant.
