If you want to feel like you’ve taken a time machine back to the 1970s, this is the spot for you! Classic old school steakhouse that looks like somewhere out of an old movie. Service is very slow, but friendly, and the food is very good, but not great. I ordered the 32oz cowboy porterhouse, which had more fat than I would prefer, and it wasn’t the most tender piece of steak I’ve ever had, but it was nicely grilled and tasted good dunked in their house made creamy peppercorn dressing (which is one of the thickest most delicious salad dressings I’ve ever had!). The loaded cheese fries (called “buckskins”) were the other highlight, a huge pile of steak fries loaded with cheese and bacon, which I will definitely order again if I decide to return.

Great food. Very happy, friendly wait staff. Best steak in the History of Steak. My wife doesn’t drink beer. No problem. Cattle Ranch sells draught beer by the half pitcher.

I really enjoyed my first experience at this place that has been here for a very long time. The outside is not so glamorous but don’t let that cause you to miss this hidden gem. Inside is very classic rustic and was very clean. The service was southern sweet and the food was down home delicious. I absolutely loved the loaded buck skins, must get. The surf and turf with the grilled shrimp was just what I hoped for. The green beans were so flavorful, just like my grandma used to make. Definitely going back again, even if it’s just for the loaded buck skins!

Super charming local steak house! Perfect for getting a hearty meal before or after a flight out of Sanford. Shannon and Kara are there to make sure that you are well taken care of.

Our steaks were made to our liking, and overall the food was good. The server was friendly and attentive. The space itself is dated, but it adds to the small, local, rustic vibe.

If you’re looking for a good meal at a good price with no frills, Cattle Ranch is the spot. I’m almost not wanting to write this review because it’s so low key popular I don’t want it to become more so but they deserve it.

Staying in Orlando for one night and asked the front desk person at the hotel where to eat and she recommended here. Like the other reviews say it looks sketchy on the outside but once you get inside it’s a regular cute little diner. Food was good and filled me up. Rhonda our server was pretty funny. Good times all around

Tried this place on a whim. Pulling up, it seems a little sketchy. (ok, looks like a strip club but it’s not!) Inside is a mom and pop, family-run steakhouse that is fine to come as you are. Wood paneling on the walls is accented by old beer mirrors and lights. There is a variety of tables to choose from – booths, bar stools and tables…there is also a bar side and dining room side. They had plenty of tables at 6pm on a Saturday but it started to get busier. It is definitely family friendly and home cooking. Steak (the cowgirl) was delicious and the rest of the food was excellen, too. Medium was the way to go on the steak and no steak sauce needed. Shannon was the best! Worth the 40 min drive!

GREAT ALL AMERICAN FAMILY STEAKHOUSE!!! Best steaks you will ever eat anywhere. Everything on the menu is wonderful. The first time I ate here was 1989… still #1 for me and everyone I know who has ever been here! Family owned and operated for generations. Don’t miss this great place.

Visiting to go on a cruise ship tomorrow. Thought we’d try a local place rather than a chain & we were blown away by the steaks! Huge, tender & cooked the way we wanted them. Atmosphere is a little old-school rustic, but quality of food & service is fabulous. Our waitress Vicky was very prompt & efficient. Glad we choose this over the chain option.
