Everything was great, especially the beans, so good! The young man working the register was very polite & cleaning the whole time we were there. (He needs a raise) We will be back again soon.

I felt like we got a really good value for our money. We had a kids meal and a family meal (3 people). The fish and chicken were very good, and we all left full. The sides were good (slaw and beans), and the hush puppies were great! Decor was a bit dated, but it fit the nautical theme. Overall, it was a relaxed place to have a meal, and I would eat there again next time we’re in town.

Most of these places are gone. OG version of Captain D,s or Long John Silver’s. Had a good lunch and finally had a chance to get in before 5PM.

Well I was really craving some fried fish , this place lacks soul & seasoning. It’s definitely not for a brother or sister if you know what I mean . No music playing just news channel , shrimp & the fountain drinks are the only thing worth coming for . THE FISH IS DRY WITH NO SEASONING AT ALL. the beans and rice also lacked flavor I give it a 2/10 will not return and we got two plates that came to $34.00 . All the hot sauce in the world couldn’t save my plate .

Really unassuming place…but then again, 85% of Waco is. However look beyond the less than ideal curb appeal and step inside…more of the same but the staff is friendly and the food is good. This chain offers moderately priced dishes with good portions. I don’t claim to be the fish fry taste expert but these are good. The batter could use more flavor to bring out the texture of the catfish but that’s the fun of dipping it in tarter sauce I reckon. No complaints. You want decor and whimsical birthday song and dance? Go to Red Lobster. You want good catfish basket? Check this place out

Good value for seniors but really dismal food. The coleslaw was sweet(?). All tables were taken, and when I suggested they open the back room, they told me to just stand and wait. Eventually, they had to open it.

The cuisine was adequate, but not the best of the best. The fries and coleslaw were delicious. I’m not complaining, but the catfish was a little dry. Overall, the wait was pretty quick, and the waiters were extremely courteous.

Fish had no flavor at all and was very dry. My wife shrimp was bad as well. The fries were cold and the beans were bad as well. The two best things about this place was the fountain drinks and the exit.

Nice big salad. Fish was a little smaller, should of been bigger. 1 of my hash browns were hard. But overall good food. & I love fresh food. I would of waited on them to cook it since I was dining in. But they were quick.

This is our favorite place to eat catfish. We come from East Texas which is where Catfish King originated, so we were super happy when we moved to Waco and found one here. I will say that the staff seems to not be happy that they’re there. Also, when you look them up online, it says they close at 5 on Saturdays, which is incorrect. So somebody needs to update the times on maps and Google. But we will always come back because we love this yummy clean catfish.
