So I am a Casey’s aficionado and generally love them all. It is rare I ever have a bad experience. However. This might be one of those rare ones that I find to be worse than a Phillips 66. It was super cluttered and disorganized. It was understaffed. The bathrooms were a veritable house of horrors, and were actually too small. I think it would be a better Casey’s if Mound City wasn’t on the interstate and wasn’t getting as much traffic. But because it is the only Casey’s on this stretch of highway before Iowa, tons of people stop because the prices are cheaper in MO. The problem is, this Casey’s can’t handle this many people.

We were just here, 7:35 pm on a Friday night. No toilet paper in the women’s restroom. 1 cashier only and she was VERY busy and a line backed up! I asked a kitchen employee that was filling his fountain drink up if could please make some tea. He replied No that’s her job. I said well she is really busy and that’s real nice teamwork kinda attitude! This Casey’s is always busy and always out of tea! Also tried yo get gas but the pump would not pump. It took 15 minutes to get 3 gallons of gas so we stopped and went across the street for gas and tea…what a shame because I love Casey’s but not this one!

It is understaffed, huge line at the counter. Toilets are a mess, no toilet paper as well. I was expecting it would be a better Casey’s being next to a main road. Good thing is they have a free working air pump which is hard to find.

Hire some help!!!, lived here my whole life worst Casey’s around, it’s dirty, 2 registers that are never utilized except for one. Have to stand in line forever to pay and come back in to stand in line for a fuel receipt. Hardly ever anything for food in the morning Hire someone who cares and doesn’t stand around on the phone behind the counter and will run the other register…Would give zero stars if available. Everyone in here has an attitude problem.

This place is big. But the restrooms! Clean but small! It’s a stop that supports semi trucks and general public with one toilet? Are you kidding me? It was almost 7 minutes to get in the men’s restroom. And the door was CONSTANTLY opening with people coming in and out. And the AC must not have been working. Because it was hot! Not as hot as a portable toilet! But wow. Dropping the kids off at the pool and sweating to death at the same time is not fun. The wait was already bad enough! Now I must be punished for waiting to do something natural! Lol.

Worst Casey’s truck stop. Fuel lanes down multiple times. Employees don’t care. Bathrooms ALWAYS closed. Used to be my go to for fuel 2 times a week. 1k in fuel each time. I’ll bypass from now on.

Travelers on I-29 have turned this place into a rest area and public restroom. They pull off the interstate in Mound City needing to use the restroom. They first place they see is Casey’s so that’s where they go. Consequently, this Casey’s is usually very busy and there’s frequently a line for the restrooms. As with most extremely busy public restrooms it gets dirty fast. Don’t like the mess? Go look in the mirror. You and your fellow customers are the ones that trashed it.

The WORST Casey’s store, avoid! Despite being fairly new (a year or so), they are consistently running long lines behind slow registers, unacceptable bathroom conditions, and items not stocked. Contacted corporate but they haven’t improved.
