Best Mexican food in Salem, MA. The food was fresh and the refried beans were amazing. I highly suggest the cucumber margarita during the summer it was quite refreshing. I had the enchilada verde, chicken fajitas, and flan which I highly recommend. Portions are large and price is quite responsible. I will be back soon.

Okay when you read or hear about Mexican restaurants that’s what exactly you think is Mexican food… Right?! Well this was a little disappointing because of one food choice they had but the rest was amazing. I order the multiple items in one dish, which is one cheese enchiladas, meat enchiladas and a taco with rice and beans….. … Well that’s what I imagine when I was getting my food… They finally bring it to me and the taco was not even a taco it was a taco exactly like taco bell…. I was like nnnnnoooo this is an insult to all mexicanos. I’m not sure if they were trying to please the Americans (Caucasian) but come on its not even a Mexican taco… That’s the only reason I removed one star but the rest was exactly how a Mexican food should be. The rice was perfect and the salsa was trash but I asked for the hottest they had and that one didn’t disappoint. The margaritas was 3/5 they were a little weak for being a Mexican restaurant but like I said maybe they trying to please the locals or people who are more sensitive. I would revisit but for the cheese enchiladas not the taco staff was friendly and amazing, the place was pleasing with enjoyable music. Besides that taco we had a great time.

I am from the west coast and finding a place that serves decent Mexican food is hard. However Casa did amazing! They are a little bland and need more seasoning but in downtown Salem! You can’t go wrong they are pretty good.

The house margarita was giant. I needed help to finish it. The bean dip was the best I’ve ever had. It goes well with the cheese nachos and salsa. We sat outside, and our waiter was a very sweet young man. Very polite and helpful. I would recommend this place. Everything was very good. Try the chicken tortilla soup. Sooo good.

Location and outdoor patio is good, the food not so much. We ordered 2 different combos so we can try as much as possible and all of the items on the combo plates tasted absolutely the same ( and looked equally sad) – tasteless, no spices of any kind, soggy. Same ground beef in the taco, tostada and enchilada. The sauce made no difference. Tye salsa that comes with the chips is also tasteless and bland.

Me and my boyfriend ordered the Baja fish/ Shrimp tacos Both tacos were dry the fish felt reheated. The rice that came with the platter Looked like it was a week old, and the beans look like they are freezer burned, Definitely not authentic food. The drinks were great, other than that we waited forever to get a waiter to the Table. Honestly I would come back for the margaritas but nothing else.

My family of 5 came in around lunch time. We didn’t have to wait for table since nobody were in there when we were seated. I should have notice why nobody was in there. Our kids didn’t like vegetable so they order chicken burrito and 2 quesadilla. Server said ok no vegetable. Chicken burrito already came with tomato mixed with chicken already. Of course, my kid not going to eat it. Waste of money. He rather have Chipotle.
