This place is so good. So good! I took a couple of friends here on a whim, and we tried and shared a variety of empanadas, and got a few cups of coffee, and were made immensely happy by how good they all were.

This place is as delicious as it is colorfully decorated! The side salad has apples, cranberries, and pepitas, and perfectly pairs with the buttery and flavorful empanadas. We tried a variety of the savory empanadas and two of the dessert ones. Everything was flavorful, and we definitely want to go back!

Came on a Tuesday lunch, great spot with plenty of seating outdoors and indoors. Clean establishment and great selection of items. Cochinita pibil was on point as well as the tinga which I have ate both in taco and tastada formats. The Nutella and chocolate empanada is a good treat.

Awesome vegetarian empanadas! We ordered the spinach, rajas, and plain cheese flavors. They go well with the sauces, the red one is nice and spicy!

Food can sometimes transport you back to certain memories and experiences. Casa Guzmania just accomplished this today. It took me back to Mexico City, even the street is loud, but not as busy(market street). The flavors are those which I have encountered in the past, and in all honesty this time around I just stuck to my traditional palette, 1-3(cochinita, mole, carne con papa) and rajas which is on the vegetarian menu.

Very tasty Mexican empanadas! I couldn’t make up my mind so I bought one of everything! The empanadas are filled with plenty of meat inside! I got full with two for lunch.

My hubby found out that the subway place closed down right across the street from the San Jose Convention Center where he sometimes work and a Mexican Empanada spot opened up. I googled it I asked him to check it out. He brought home a variety of Empanadas for me to try and I can say I loooove their crust. The crust for the veggie empanadas is different than the savory ones and the crust for the dessert tastes like a croissant pie (if that makes sense).

Friendly service, but maybe they just had a bad day today. My friend and I tried 5 empanadas, both savory & sweet, & none of them were really enjoyable. The tuna one was dry, the sausage is really hot dog, the other meats weren’t spectacular, & the sweet Nutella chocolate one had the most dry crust of all. They also need music or a TV to liven the place up. Wish them the best. San Jose desperately needs more eateries.

empanadas are good. Coffee is good., stay away from the sausage and cheese. It’s hotdogs not sausage.
