Went here after a meeting and I love to try different places when it comes to food. I don’t consider myself a foodie, but I know what I like. The service here was ok and I was disappointed that when the guy asked my friend if she wanted another drink that he didn’t tell her that it wasn’t free refills. That was disappointing. The food was bland and just didn’t give what I was hoping for and it was almost 100 for all 3 of us getting basic menu items. The food was definitely not worth it. I won’t be going back. Nothing against the location personally it just wasn’t to our liking.

My daughters have been aware of this restaurant for several years, but never thought to visit until my eldest moved about a mile closer on Cinco de Mayo (!), and we took her for dinner here to celebrate. We all loved it, and we’ve all been back several times. My most memorable meal is the tamale dinner, which has plenty of firm masa and very tasty chili con carne. It comes with two tamales, but I had already eaten one before I took the picture.

Really good food and service. They have a special house salsa which is green in color. This was served warm, one of the best I’ve had, it has a kick to it. The fajitas were very tender and delicious, with all the fixings which complimented it well. Great find will be returning again.

Went out for lunch with our kiddos. The atmosphere was family friends not loud. We could talk and not yell and still have a conversation. Food was served fast fresh and hot. Staff very professional and attentive. Everything was very good we will be back on our next trip back

Nice service and decent food. They didn’t have their Sunday margarita special anymore though. Went expecting a certain price after checking their website. Anyway, not a bad spot.

The food was excellent, the owner/Manager took our order and was really kind and accommodating, the house margarita was pretty strong but needed more garnish I think, had to ask for salt!

Both my girl and myself were very pleasantly surprised at how amazing the food and service was. We like trying different spots and this one did not disappointment. The salsa was house made and was incredible… we shared the 50/50 fajitas that we both highly recommend. We found our new favorite Tex-Mex restaurant

Decent standard Tex-Mex in a comfortable and casual atmosphere, with attentive service. I tried one of the combo plates, which came with enchiladas and a taco — all delicious, albeit somewhat predictable. I loved the queso (best I’ve tasted in recent memory), the dining room temperature was perfect and comfortable, and the background music was some vintage and classic cumbias, which I really enjoy. Apparently, this restaurant opens at 8:30 AM on weekends for breakfast, which is an offering you’d be more likely to find in San Antonio, not Dallas. I’ll definitely be back to Casa Don Luis.
