Let’s start with the drinks. I had a margarita, and they were very popular amongst my table members. They were very good, but they were a little bit too light for my liking, not enough alcohol. The serving size was a problem for me, because I had the fajitas, and there just wasn’t enough, I’ll be honest. For the other people at my table, they had enough food on their dish, so I just believe I got unlucky . The food itself was good, and I will give it four stars. The service was good, not quick and speedy, but good overall. The atmosphere was great, everybody was happy and the servers were nice. I had a great time altogether, thank you casa de Reyes for a fun time! 4 out of 5 stars.

I visited this restaurant in Old Town recently with my mom. It was later in the day on a weekday. The place was not busy at all and we were seated quickly. I order the tampiqueña plate and found that the seasoning was off and didn’t enjoy it. Consider that we are Mexican and we know what to expect and today it was simply not good. Another thing I don’t appreciate is the 4% surcharge that they add on top of your total. All other restaurants in Old Town that we have visited do not charge this and can’t understand why this restaurant does it. Had I known, we would have gone somewhere else. Minus 2 stars for food, minus 1 star for the 4% surcharge. You get 2 stars for good service.

Very fun atmosphere and experience. The food was very good. It took about 10 min for the server to come take our order. Once we ordered, our food was ready very fast. Later we tried getting our server’s attention to bring the bill (probably 8-10 times), but it took about 10 minutes for him to actually come over to the table. Other than that, we had a great time.

I haven’t been here in ten years. but it’s still delicious. Nice to know if things did not change. The Food was delicious, the drinks were delicious, and the homemade flour tortillas were delicious. Prices are still good and the quality of food is excellent.

We got seated inside immediately Took awhile to take our order though and we only got one basket of chips and salsa. No water offered and drinks took awhile to arrive to the table. Totally understandable that it is busy, but you must be prepared to entertain the crowd. Didn’t bring us any salsa for our food either Thank goodness the food made it all up Absolutely delicious, except the nachos from the sampler, mixed emotions Can’t wait to eat my leftovers

Service was a little slow but the food was fantastic. I had the rolled chicken taco appetizer as a meal and I would totally get it again. My dad said his chili Rihanna was fantastic.

Located in Old Town San Diego, Casa de Reyes offers amazing Mexican food. Large portions, fresh chips and tortillas, it was an amazing little lunch spot in the middle of the square. The ambiance is relaxing and the outdoor seating was very vibrant and well decorated. If you don’t have time to stop by for a meal, on the side is a free tortilla sample window which offers a fresh tortilla per person. It’s honestly what sold us to have a meal here in the first place.

Hands down the best spot to stop by when in Old Town San Diego. The waiters are very helpful with recommendations and dressed on theme. All seating is outside but there is a stage nearby where there are Mexican performers playing frequently. The food is authentic, tasty and the portion sizes are very big. You get a taste of multiple sides and we also got the chicken tortilla soup which was a nice, hot starter. I recommend anything on the menu because everything is prepared well and gives you a sense of the area. Tortilla chips and salsa are of course a given beforehand.

Amazing Mexican food. Not a very extensive menu like most Mexican restaurants but was all delicious. Eating outside was perfect.
