Carter’s was an unexpected treasure of a restaurant. Not only was our large breakfast cooked perfectly, but the meal for the 2 of us cost under $15. This old restaurant is a bit small so it was packed when we arrived. Yet we found seats within a couple of minutes. The owner was extremely friendly and chatted with us as we asked about the history.

Food is ok. Service is ok. Atmosphere wasn’t good for me. It’s a local restaurant and if you’re not in a clique and you’re dining alone, you’re definitely dining alone. 1 piece of sausage and 2 scrambled eggs and 1 cup of coffee ☕️. $ 11.15. This includes tip. Safe to say I will probably go somewhere else from now on.

Very clean. Hash browns are probably the worst hash browns I’ve ever had in my life, ever. Don’t order the tenderloin, it’s just hamburger. And why is it white? Great over easy eggs, home fries were decent. Coffee, meh.

Had small issue and owner apologized and made the issue with breakfast right. Food was really good, service personnel were attentive and extremely nice. Will stop again when coming through.

Nice and cozy but adequate room for hungry people. Buffet is offered with a meat and two sides type choice. Menu orders as well. I had the Chefs Salad yesterday with a side of Mac and cheese. WOW! Delicious. Fresh lettuce, tomatoes, tons of ham, cheese, bacon, and nice ranch dressing. The Mac & cheese was to the moon. Friendly service and great food.

This place deserves a Michelin star. The breakfast is excellent. The lunch is excellent. The slaw is great, the onion rings are perfect, the burger tasted like my childhood. I wanted to try the buffet for lunch but the run out early bc they get so busy. I was there by 12:30. But it was fine bc the burger was so good. The only thing sweeter than the tea is the service. Stop here and eat. You won’t be disappointed. Anyone who leaves less than a 5 star review shouldn’t be trusted. They are wrong. I promise

I eat here for lunch several times a week and many things about this place have turned me off but today was the final straw. I’m attaching photos of what I found in my ‘cup of ice’. The only reason I started getting a bottled beverage with a cup of ice is because after drinking my fountain drink, I had seen what appeared to be dirt in the bottom of the cup. Apparently it is the ICE that is disgusting, not the fountain!!! Ugh! Makes me want to VOMIT!

The lunch was okay. Good selection, okay flavor. They usually have 3 meets and 4 or five sides to choose from. Fresh chopped onions and a glass of water or sweet tea. It comes with a small bowl of desert. For like, $12 or $13 bucks.
