This is a hidden gem. This is such a great find. Friendly staff. All foods were prepared to perfection. The protein was nestled in the delicious starch side and covered in a green blanket of arugula. That the varying flavor on my pallet were satisfied. The salmon skin w CRISPY and the ribeye fat ribbon was buttery and umami… the salad was well prepared and the creme Brule was a fine balance of sweet crunch, creamy smooth and fresh fruits. 5 of 5 forks. Cheers!

Great food and great service! Not the best fish of chips but the scallops, mussels and hanger steak were delicious. Do not miss the blueberry pie. It is amazing. We were here two years ago and had the same great experience.

Wow!!! I’m very rarely left speechless and this place has done just that. Service was outstanding our waiter Ben was very attentive. The food is prepared by the owner himself. The carriage house will not disappoint you, a def must try if you’re in the area.

I had the surf and turf and it was amazing!! It came with Brussel sprouts, potatoes, and lobster for the turf. Everything was smothered in a mushroom sauce. Wow. 10/10. And the service was fantastic! Super friendly staff, timely, and accommodating. Must check out!

We all agreed this was our favorite restaurant on our tour of the Northeast (Maine, Massachusetts, and DC). We loved the food! Our waitress was very sweet. We got crab cakes as an appetizer with ribs and steak as the main dishes. All of the food was excellent. The steak was cooked perfectly. The rib meat was falling off the bone. It was perfect!! Thanks, Carriage House, for a wonderful meal!!

If I could rate this place 0 stars, I honestly would. Im not one to complain about food, because I’m not necessarily picky, but this food was awful. Their pricing is outrageous for the quality of the dish. My family and I came here to enjoy dinner, seeing that it had high reviews we had higher hopes. We ordered the pickled wings as an appetizer, and they were not even EDIBLE. they were extremely chewy, overcooked on the inside, with a crunchy coding which was essentially equivalent to sand. Like crack your teeth. We had expressed to our sever that we could not eat these and asked to send them back. For our entrees we ordered two of the spicy chicken sandwiches, the shrimp scampi, and the kids chicken tenders. The person in our party who ordered the tenders immediately said that they were just awful and he couldn’t even eat them. The rest of the table tried them, and unfortunately not to our surprise they were absolutely terrible. So incredibly bland and we had all agreed that they tasted like CARDBOARD. They were WAY over cooked on the inside, and somehow the breading was undercooked? It was like they were microwaved. As for the chicken sandwhiches, they were very bland and quickly fell apart.

This was a nice restaurant in East Boothbay but was not totally impressed with the service they provided. We called ahead for reservations and when we got there they told us we had to sit outside that inside was already reserved but most the inside tables were empty. They did finally get us a table inside on the upper level. I ordered a lobster roll sandwich which was $29 and the bottom of the bun was lined with lettuce which made it appear to have more lobster meat then it had. My wife got the haddock meal which was very good. When we left the downstairs tables were still empty. They could have asked if we wanted inside or outside seating when we called and I think it’s deceiving to put lettuce on the bottom of the bun especially when I had many lobster rolls at other restaurants in the area that had more lobster meat for the same price or lower and no lettuce.

The place to go in Boothbay Harbor for superb cuisine in a relaxed and inviting environment. I was most recently here several weeks ago and had the baby back ribs. They were out of this world. Came with a side of cornbread which was also delicious.
