I went to the Carriage House Antique Market, today. Everything is 20% off in celebration of their 20 year anniversary. If you buy $100 dollars worth of items, you get a gift bag with all kinds of goodies inside it. Woo-hoo, I’m telling you, it was fun to look around at all of their different items, from record albums, baseball cards to china, silver coffee sets, beautiful paintings. You name it, they have it.

This is a wonderful place for lunch, even if you dont want to shop. My personal favorite way to enjoy it is to shop an hour or so, have lunch, and shop another hour! It’s really a great meal and the chef (yes, an amazing chef makes a great deal of the food) makes some amazing soups and sandwiches!

Not a lot of antiques here, unless you count us old farts found perusing the tchotchkes and nibbling on pastries. They do have an excellent collection of jewelry to choose from, and the cafe serves virgin mimosas with an excellent selection of desserts on Sundays. Try the banana pudding, it is lovely.

We had our Christmas party there yesterday. Really not set up for a large group. Waited hour and a half for my food. Waitress very nice but was hard for her to deal with 21 people all alone.
