Chef Nathan Lockwood opened Carrello with his wife Rebecca to combine the flavors of Italy with the vibrant and creative style of the restaurant. The Lockwood’s opened Carrello across the street from the their original restaurant, Altura, as a more casual alternative to share with guests the seasonal, and familial generosity of Italian dining. The diversity of the menu, from small bites to whole-roasted meats and seafood reminds us dining out can be interactive and playful.

Delicious! We came for a birthday dinner. Decided to order off the menu instead of getting the tasting menu. Tasting menu is 5 courses and we thought it might be too much food for us. The burrata was delicious along with the sourdough. We started getting full midway through our entree so the serving sizes are pretty good in my opinion. We were so full that we decided to skip dessert. Servers were very nice and welcoming. Outside back patio ambiance was very calm and relaxing. Would come here again!

Amazing food. The buratta is amazing, lamb neck, papperdelle, and the dessert was fabulous. They use herbs from their own garden. The tasting is worth it. Service is spectacular and the drinks are so well done. We were so stuffed. Definitely come hungry.

I came here with my friend and we were very happy with our meals! I was immediately impressed with the atmosphere and small details that give the restaurant a unique look. We started with the beets and focaccia bread, and both were delicious. I got the pappardelle with tripe and oxtail ragu (it was fantastic), and my friend got the agnolotti (also fanastic). The flavors worked beautifully together!

High quality Italian food! We had a large group so we did their fix family style menu and was perfect. Their service was also fantastic. My personal favorite was the agnolotti with its well balanced flavors and textures. Excellent wine menu and their cocktail roulette is such a fun way to try new drinks.

Went here for a date night with the gf and it was fantastic. We did the $75/person five course tasting menu, it was fantastic. Tons of food, great portions. We sat outside on the back patio and it was nice out for a summer night. Our waiter was the highlight though. He made sure we were attended to all evening and was kind enough to include some special drinks for our anniversary. HUGE thank you to Peter!

Absolutely fantastic restaurant! Quality on par with that of sister restaurant Altura, just not nearly as expensive (hence we plan to come back much more frequently). Excellent pastas, similar to what you can get at good restaurants throughout Italy. The execution of the dishes is perfect. We rounded out our meal with a shared whole branzino fish, which had the crispiest skin ever – so good! The 5-course feast is a steal at $75 per person. We can’t wait to return. Had a great experience at Carello’s! My boyfriend and I went here expecting a casual dinner but we both opted for the $75 5 course tasting menu. Amazing variety and quality in the menu and we even got to take leftovers home! It’s not often you find a place offering a tasting menu that feeds you way more than you can stomach! Great service and cocktails as well. Will definitely come again!
