This place is not fancy but absolutely real and authentic! The gravy and the pink sauce is old recipe style, We spoke to Mama Carolyn, what a friendly human being, true southern hospitality! Our waitress/cook was of the same caliber! She has worked there for 38 years! Look for the place (it’s not easy to spot).

Was passing thru and decided to stop. Not sure if she was the owner or not but she was super nice and friendly. Food was great. I got the fried catfish plate and the hushpuppies were really good. She had my wife and I sample her bread pudding which was amazing so of course we had to buy some.

If you haven’t stopped at Carolyn’s, you are missing a great experience. All the food is homemade and delicious and the folks are so friendly. You feel right at home. Be sure to grab some “Chit Chips” on your way out. Ms. Carolyn makes them and they WILL become your new favorite snack.
