Average sports bar that could use a Bar Rescue by Jon Taffer. Menu is large and could be tamed down. Descriptions of menu items sound better than the food actually is. Food is good enough but not worth another try for me. (I’ve been there twice so far and had take out once.) Carnivores seems to do well mainly because of the bar and the fact that Oakmont is a large neighborhood with young professionals and families looking to dine out and in the immediate area there are few options. Staff could be more attentive and certainly friendlier.

Love this place – been a go-to place for dinner w/ out Crew for 20+ years! Great menu – so much to choose from – same for the selections of beer/seltzer from the cooler! And always a variety of sports on the myriad of TVs!! The wait staff is also so nice and very attentive. If you haven’t been there, add it as a must go!

Husband used to go here multiple times a month with coworkers pre-pandemic for years. Said at times the service could be slow but always enjoyed the food and wide selection of beers. I had gone twice before this evening and really liked my food. Tonight was a bit of a rough experience. Our waitress was very nice and a bit stressed out because the kitchen was backed up…it took 45 minutes for our food to come out. This is what we ordered:

I always have a problem when I order the food. It’s definitely good, but they never get my order right they always do something I didn’t ask or miss some thing that I asked for and I did get a nacho supreme order to my house and they sent me burnt chips, they just didn’t care because how do you not know that the chips are not burnt?

I come back here over and over. I highly recommend this place, even if you have to drive for it. They have an extensive menu, including the normal bar foods like wings, pizza, and burgers. They also have stuff you can’t find everywhere, like giant corndogs and shrimp tossed in your favorite wing sauce. The biggest selling point for me, though, is their Pittsburgh Salad. They use onion rings on theirs, so just sub them out for fries (You even have choices on what cut. Shoe-string? Steak?). I don’t know what they marinate their steak in for the salads, but it is amazing. Not to mention, the salad is the size of a pizza. *See Pictures* Plenty of bougie drink options, if that’s your thing, and always friendly staff.
