Hands down, my favorite Mexican carnitas restaurant! The employees are so awesome! The food is delicious, with a good variety of mix drinks and also free refills for the aguas frescas! 10/10!

I get food to go usually when I have a break from class at a place next door. They make it fresh and plentiful!!! Dang, yesterday’s carne asada quesadilla fed 2 of us with some leftover and it was delish! They are super nice and very accommodating during covid.

On my first visit I got a carnitas dinner for two for takeout and the service staff did not hesitate to make recommendations on their fresh tortillas. The girl at the checkout told me they’ve been here for about a year and a half and host parties regularly in the back room. I took a look around and liked the feel and atmosphere of the place. The flour tortillas certainly did not disappoint and the carnitas was delicious. I’ll be back with my wife in person for the next meal.

Really great carnitas enjoyed at a big event there. Woefully understaffed bar to service the attendees. I’d like to go back on a normal day for sure! The outside looks a bit dumpy, but the food and atmosphere surpass that vibe. Recommended!

Tried them for the first time to night and it was very good. I had the carnitas dinner for one and my wife had the taco sampler plate (5 mini tacos: carnitas, carne asada, pollo asada..). We had a large group and everyone was happy with their meals. The carnitas were very flavorful and I would definitely order again.

I heard about this place on “Nextdoor” so decided to give a try. I ordered a combo that was not on menu. Beef Enchilada with Chili Rellano. My daughter ordered the Carnitas Burrito Plate. The enchilada sauce was a little tangy for me at first…but..after a couple bites I started enjoying it. The Chili Rellano sauce was great! The burrito was filled with meat that was moist and had just enough “burnt” and was very filling. I found the food we ordered wonderfully tasty. Will definitely go back. Nice full menu. Average Prices for Mexican restaurants. Try it! You’ll like it!!! Brenda one of the co-owners was there and she is wonderful!

We live near the area and frequent Carnitas Uruapan several times a month. The food and drinks are reasonably priced, generous portions and excellent customer service. We generally order the Carnitas plate which comes with carnitas, rice, beans, tortillas. The food and condiments (cilantro & onions) are fresh.
