Food was good. I had the lonche de barbacoa… pretty much a torta. The bread is what made it 5 stars. My friend got the carne asada tacos. The tacos are big and he said it tastes good. We both got a Jamaica drink which came in a chilled earthen cup and wasn’t too sweet. The service was OK, considering they were short staffed. Very friendly though. The waitress hooked us up because there was a large party that had just barely beat us in putting our order in and we got our food first, saving us from a long wait. Someone from that party still complained that we got our food first, but we were on our lunch break and that family obviously had a lot more time to spare. Atmosphere gets 2 stars because it was Summer and I was sweating the entire time. They had one oscillating fan but that huge party was using it. Also, the Mexican Cokes were $4…maybe in Downtown LA, some hipsters will pay that, but not any self respecting Mexican. Will definitely go back, but will wait for the weather to cool down and not during my lunch hour. Also, during lunch time, the nudie bar next door gets packed and there’s not much parking.

I really wanted to try the food here, and I was so disappointed my kids are birria lovers and the birria tasted burn the meat was hard! The guacamole tasted like they used old limes the service was bad! They take for ever just to bring you chips and salsa! I paid over 200 dollars just for myself and my family to throw away the food! And sadly it was for fathers day! Never coming again!

Decided to give Carnes Asadas Pancho Lopez a shot and I am glad I did. Delicious food, spicy salsas, attentive servers and a cold mug for your drink. Plus, the food is very reasonably priced especially the lunch specials. I will be back for sure and you should give them a try, you won’t regret it.

Came here because of the reviews. Worst experience ever. We drove to the LA location. It was packed and they suggested we go the thier other location in City of Industry. Service was terrible, wait was long and the food was the worst Mexican food we’ve ever had and very expensive for what they serve. We had the torta ahogada, it was very dry. We were hoping to find authentic Mexican food, we were very disappointed.

My experience was not good. Maybe they need a bigger team. The place was full, and they didn’t have enough servers…. the two servers were trying to do their best. But the plates just trickled too slow. We tried the cane en su jugo. The portion was small and lacked flavor. Unfortunately, we won’t be back…..

The birria had no flavor, it needed so much salt and even lemon. The queso fundido was way too greasy, I know cheese is greasy but this was floating in grease and tasteless I had to put some salt and salsa to have some flavor other than grease. The coffee was okay. I rarely leave any reviews but I paid $100 for flavorless food, way too pricey.
