Paul was amazing as the server for our large group. He wrote nothing down and memorized our entire order with drinks, which we all noticed and was fascinated by. We had zucchini fries, steak, garlic bread, baked clams & two pasta dishes. The food portions are insanely large and even with our large group we still had a significant amount of leftovers. The dishes were tasty and the environment is very very vibrant and lively. If you want a more quiet Carmine experience go to the upper west side location. As this location embodies the energy of the theater district and nearby Times Sq

A lot to try and eat on your own. I came here with a family of six. The fried zucchini and calamari appetizers were both too greasy. The rigatoni & broccoli – with white sauce – could have been cooked longer and was a little (meh or mid). The lasagna was excellent and easy to cut through. It was a birthday celebration so the servers brought ice cream and sang. We also ordered the titanic. Huge but delicious.

I went here for my birthday with family and the food was amazing. The plates are obviously family size. Our waiter was persistent on telling us that we were ordering a lot of plates (6 plates for 8 of us we knew we were going to have leftovers which is what we wanted) my favorite dish was the shrimp Parmesan and the garlic bread. The cheesecake was ok I expected it to be more creamier, but over all the food was good and so was the experience.

Family style so portions are large. Food was amazing. This place is extremely busy, so the service is a bit slow. Once you’ve ordered, the food comes out quickly. Very loud atmosphere. Definitely recommend going with more than two people. Be prepared to take home leftovers.

If you’re looking for an authentic Italian experience in New York, this is the spot. The portions are over the top and could be very overwhelming at first. 2 dishes would be enough to split between a group of 4. The cold antipasto and the warm seafood pasta were great. If you opt for dessert, be prepared to be super stuffed. I would recommend coming here for just dinner or dessert.

We came back to celebrate my son’s birthday. It was even more packed than during Christmas time. They did not skip a beat. Service was quick and efficient. Our table was waiting for us. They even called to double check we were coming about 40 minutes before our reserved time. The food was outstanding. Large family style portions. We were a party of 14 and everyone was full at the end. The garlic bread with cheese is always a favorite. This time they had the cannolis. The rum runner was delicious in case you wanted a drink recommendation. I think this is the best place to eat if you have a large party.

We went to celebrate my daughter’s b-day with friends. We all loved it. A bit pricey due to location(walking distance to Times Square) but huge and delicious portions. For 9 people we ordered 1 salad, 2 pastas, the porterhouse contadina style and 1dessert and still had left overs. Beautiful old Italian style. Rosalee was our server and she was excellent.

Carmine’s is fun, very loud, always packed and well with a visit in NYC with a group. All dishes are Italian family style and huge. Tonight, six of us women shared fried calamari appetizer with Carmine’s salad, followed by rigatoni bolognese and lemon chicken piccata. Overkill for dessert was the titanic, which was way too much but fun to order at least once in a lifetime.

Recently had dinner here while visiting NYC for the first time. It was very nice to sit down to have dinner instead of grab and go meals. It was a full house, they had plenty of people there and we still were able to get seated rather quickly. The food was delicious, served hot! They had multiple servers check in us and were very helpful. This is family style portions however and party two we were both able to manage have left overs being that our dish was meant to serve 3 I do believe!

When they say that their plates are ALL family style they are not joking. Honestly, if you’re coming as a party of two, you’ve likely got leftovers set for your next few meals. Food is above average, especially their pastas. Cocktails were too sweet for my liking. Service is incredibly busy and so we couldn’t get much attention but we weren’t too affected by it.
