This cute cafe may only be open for 12 hours a week but it is one-hundred-percent worth it to check out. The food is delicious, the staff are warm and friendly, they make their own craft sodas, and quite frankly parking isn’t nearly as bad as you’d expected to be for that part of Troy. The seating is limited, so you want to go earlier rather than later, but it’s lovely to go.

I had a very nice meal at Carmen’s Café this past weekend. My friends have been going for a long time and I am very glad I finally got to experience it. The food is amazing! I would recommend the tostadas and the grilled veggies. I think the best thing I had however were the mimosas. The mint and mango mimosas were my favorites. Definitely worth getting any home made seltzer or soda! They know what they are doing!

Definitely one of the best restaurants in the capital district and perhaps NY State! Always fresh and delicious ingredients in their food. Carmen, Jim, and their staff take the time to create a dining experience second to none!! Everyone is extremely personable and friendly too. I love this place!!!

Hidden Gem Made a reservation on google (Google Assistant) for brunch on a Saturday at 11 for two. I will always call the day of to double confirm because they are only opened on Saturdays and Sundays. I have been here a handful of times, always delicious. Today, we had empanadas, a side of Yuca fries and vegetable hash tostados. I also had a red sangria…service, temperature of food, display and taste was excellent.

Love Carmen’s! This is our second time dining here and they do not disappoint. We come 3,000 miles from Los Angeles to visit our son in Troy, and make a point to dine at Carmen’s. There are A LOT of good eateries in L. A. but nothing beats Carmen’s! I recommend the Ricardo omelette & roasted brussels sprouts. My kids recommend the tostada & cubano. The coffee hits the spot! Eat at Carmen’s Thank you for exceptional service, Carmen!
