Joanne and our Server Cheryl were phenomenal!! We came with our 2 children, 2yo and 4yo, and they took care of our family and friends absolutely wonderfully! We could not ask for better service. The food was amazing, I ordered the scallops which for the menu and was not disappointed at all they were delicious! Thank you to Carmen’s to making our night our with friends and family remarkable!

Carmen’s might be the best food on the island. Joanne is always a happy face ready to greet you and meet your every need. The wait and buss stuff are beyond friendly. The food is jaw dropping amazing. My family and I have been going for multiple summers and I’ve NEVER had a bad, nor even an okay experience.

Stumbled upon the place, in search for a bite on Friday night. What a present surprise that was. Fixed menue has a variety for every taste. Food is preped to perfection. We had a party of 4, so we tried almost everything on the menu. Perfect. Highly recomended, and will be back for more. Do not forget to bring the Wine. It is a BYOB.

Mediocre service with very high prices. We ordered the large Caesar salad that was served with very little dressing. The Caesar salad at the Engleside is bigger cheaper and much better. Most meals are in the 34 dollar range and up. Our meals were the highlight of the night, very good. Did I mention they seated us in the worst table in this smallish dining room right by the high traffic entrance when there were many other tables available??? Right by the entrance… Over all, meal was good, prices are very high and service is disappointing for the price. I would recommend many other restaurants in Beach Haven and come to Carmen’s afterwards for something different.

Actually writing this review from the table as we are dining. Would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone and everyone. Service was excellent and the food is tremendous. The owner, Joann is extremely personable and is a pleasure to talk to. This is the best restaurant in LBI and I encourage all to visit. You will NOT be disappointed!

Great potential to deliver a five star experience squandered on poor service and lazy attention to detail. Nice cute little joint, but the details of the experience are best summed up as “your problem not mine.” No drink menu, so if you want a glass of red with your steak, there’s a liquor store right there, you can go get it. Presentation was cute, but for the effort of putting an orchid on every plate you’d think they might take the tails off the shrimp before putting them on the cheap steak bathed in so much sauce that the attempt to mask its poor quality is almost but definitely not quite convincing.

Love this restaurant!!! Went last night for the first time with my husband and my 4 year old son for dinner and everything was excellent. Food and service was really good. Totally recommended. Very friendly and professional staffs. Food was fresh and delicious. Definitely and restaurant to go and have a pleasant dinner with family and friends.
