Carmelo’s is the best fine dining restaurant, in the Niagara Falls/ Lewiston area. Hands down! The restaurant is small and the decor is a nice older rustic look. The lighting is somewhat dim. Our hostess/ waitress Alicia was absolutely amazing. If every restaurant had a person like her working, they would never have complaints of bad customer service. She did have a very capable helper as well, unfortunately I forgot her name. But she was very good as well. After allowing us time to settle in and look over the menu. Alicia answered all of our questions, and even made a few accommodations for us. The night was very good and I was so impressed with everything. That I plan to bring others back with me, to enjoy the place as well.

prices are relatively high, the portion sizes small, and salads were an extra $16.00. The food tasted good and the servers were pleasant but management was non-existent. By keeping the patio door open flies of all types enjoyed my dining room too.

We absolutely loved your restaurant. Your staff was attentive and knowledgeable. The cocktails, house made pasta, meatballs, seafoods and desserts were so delicious. You made our first night in Niagara area one to remember.

Carmelo’s is one of my favorite restaurants! The service is always great and the food is delicious. That being said, I have to take a couple of the other reviews to task. I also dined at Carmelo’s on NYE and the website clearly stated that there was a special menu for the evening (and it’s really something that should be assumed at a fine restaurant on that date). As far as the comment about the small menu, I like to take Anthony Bourdain’s advice about a menu’s size – if it’s a large menu, you are getting frozen food. Smaller menus are best for fresh, creative food.

First time there, on Valentine’s day. Recommended by a coworker. The full menu was available, and the food was excellent! My wife had the meatballs and a pasta dish, and l had the calamari and cod entree. Everything was really great, including the service. Prices were high enough to make it a special occasion place but the food and service were definitely worth it.
