Carlo’s pizza used to be my go to, but I guess they’ve changed the recipe. The crust used to have some fluff and the last couple times it was flat and didn’t taste fresh. I could get that for a lot less at dominos.

Ordered Chicago style and was not impressed. The cheese was rubbery even though it was hot and the pieces literally fell apart as I was trying to plate them because it wasn’t cut through. Also, the pizza was so wet and soggy! It was so soggy that the paper underneath was adhered to all the pieces of pizza. By the time I cut the pieces again, peeled the paper off, and served the slices, we were eating slop that tasted like pizza. It really is a shame because we were really hoping for the best and enjoyed reading all the good reviews. Unfortunately, we did not enjoy it. We won’t be returning unless it’s free because I am not spending $25 on the same mistake twice.

I went because they offered Chicago style pizza. Pizza was ok. Worst thing was, they gave one of my bread orders to someone who ordered after me. My 30 minute wait that I arrived on time for, took an additional 40 minutes, partly because they didn’t realize their mistake for over 10 minutes while my other 3 items were sitting there done. This was nearly a $50 order. Won’t be back. Other options are better. No discount was offered for the extra wait. They just shrugged it off as no big deal.

The Hayes location is by my condo. The Harrison Twp. location is by my work. I use them both & they are both consistently good. I have had a lot of items on the menu. The Caesar salad had shaved parmesan & some real good dressing.

Can’t say enough good words about Carlo’s on Hayes. Everything I’ve ordered is absolutely delicious. This Sicilian style pizza with Old World pepperoni and a cajun crust was phenomenal. The workers are always friendly and on the ball. Carlo’s is a local gem for sure

One Friday March 3rd 2022 I had a meatball sub and spagetti the was good . On Saturday march 4 th I ordered Sicilian pizza and antapasta salad. They pizza was the best pizza I had had in 40 years . I sear I ordered from a restaurant in Italy . Keep making quality pizza . Don’t skip on quality toppings and sause like all the other pizza places in Michigan .
