My wife and I found this place in the way back home the other night. We came back and stopped in, upon entering we were immediately greeted with a happy smile. The waitress/hostess sat us in a nice spot, had taken our drink order in which the sweet tea is on point. Our waitress, Melanie then told us about the special in which was a half rack of ribs, 6 wings and 2 sides for $18 in which is a really good deal and I also ordered a long with the red beans and rice and hush puppies, my wife ordered their meatloaf with their blackeye pea medley and fried okra. Now my wife is from Georgia so the challenge was accepted to wow her. My ribs had this amazing sweet bourbon sauce and wings had their “soul” sauce, both were amazing. Our food were beyond our expectations. We then got to meet the owner/cook Jeremy whom was extremely nice and funny. We then ordered the blackberry cobbler with ice cream, superb. We highly suggest coming to this establishment, in which we will be back with our boys. If there was 10 stars I’d go 20. See you soon…

10 out of 10 for carlitos. We went here for our anniversary dinner July 6th and it was amazing !!! Those pork rinds are on another level they are so amazing my 6 year old son was in love with them !! My husband had the fried green tomatoes and he was in heaven I had the ribs so good

They knocked out of of the park! Fried chicken for my daughter. I had that steak salad in the Facebook ad and my husband had the ode to Di Nic. We started with wings with should sauce and they had a great small and crunch but the meat was juicy. Can’t wait to go back!

Where to even start… Carlito’s is absolutely amazing in all ways. The hospitality and service are top notch. Menu is great, not overwhelming at all, and prices are fair. The food is real, honest to goodness soul food…tastes delicious, fills the belly, warms the soul! I am Georgia born and raised, been up here for 19 yrs and have never found anywhere that could cook real southern recipes (the proper way!) and serve them with true hospitality…until we found Carlito’s. What a find! My husband had ribs, wings, red beans and rice, and cornbread hush puppies…absolutely delicious. THE best bourbon sauce on those melt in your mouth ribs, perfection. I enjoyed a hefty slice of meatloaf with gravy, fried okra and THE BEST black eyed peas I’ve had in my entire life…they may have been seasoned with a little bit of Heaven. It’s rare to find okra served up here, much less okra that is cooked to perfection… Carlito’s has it down! I would honestly be happy ordering a bowl of those black eyed peas, a couple hush puppies and some onion tossed on top…my mouth is watering thinking about it. After dinner we shared some blackberry cobbler and ice cream that took me right back to my Momma’s kitchen every summer of my childhood. I shouldn’t forget to mention the homemade pork rinds and the fresh brewed sweet tea that just rounded this experience off. Our server, Melanie, was amazing…very friendly, quick and attentive! Jeremy, owner/chef, came out and introduced himself to us and we all chatted a bit. He’s super down to earth and appreciative of his customers, and you can tell he truly loves what he does. You couldn’t ask for better people or better food! If you’re considering eating at Carlito’s, put your phone down and go! You will not regret it! We will be back with our kiddos very soon!

Great new restaurant in downtown Wheeling!! Service is beyond exceptional and only surpassed by the food. Had the chicken and waffles and they were just as good as anything I’ve had in the Atlanta area! Plentiful outdoor seating to enjoy views of the Ohio River. Come check this place out!

I ordered a wrap and I received 2 tortillas with a very small amount of food inside the two tortillas that was not good. The 16.00 fried green tomatoes was a very small serving, see photo. I told the waitress I was cold and she said that I could eat outside and told me that she was not cold. That is not a professional response to my concerns. I’ll never go back.

If I could give them 10 stars I would. The fried green tomatoes were the best I’ve ever had and I frequently make them myself. The collard greens are so flavorful, the meatloaf was thick and tender and juicy. The cornbread was really the icing on one of the best meals I’ve ever had.

Love the atmosphere here. Great looking restaurant with riveresque views. The babyback ribs with bourbon glaze was excellent. The hush puppies were some of the best I had.

Have eaten here several times. Love the food. Went today for the lunch buffet. Was amazing~~ delicious, hot & a great variety. Love the mac/cheese & greens here. Just wish catfish would have been on the biffet today but understand they switch it up some. Service was great. The owner is very friendly and copmes around to tables. Sissy, the head chef I have known forever and knew the greens & mac/cheese was hers. Highly recommend.
