I have been curious about this place ever since we moved to Oberlin 2 years ago. I just noticed they recently reopened again so I stopped by there today. I got a HUGE plate of food for only $10. Wow!? This will equal about 3 meals for me. I ordered stewed chicken, yellow rice and pinto beans. All very tasty especially the stewed chicken…it is so tender and flavorful! I don’t understand why this place isn’t busier as I never see any cars there but I will definitely be going back. The lady that took my order and made my plate was very friendly and she even gave me a few freebie samples to try since it was my first time going there.

My new favorite place! The food is very good but I love the way the owner treats her customers..like family. You can tell she puts a lot of love in her food. Please give them a try, especially if you need your heart to be as full as your stomach.
