In 1968, Frank and Filomena Caretti moved to America from Monte de Procida, Italy, a small town just outside Naples, to start a family in the land of opportunity. Caretti’s pizza was opened in 1979 serving the homemade recipes they brought with them from their hometown. Quality ingredients and commitment to authentic Italian cuisine has been our focus for over four decades. Our recipes are our legacy. As a person with a gluten allergy eating Italian is sometimes iffy. They have an extensive gluten free menu and many of the things are made in house. They are very aware of avoiding cross contamination with foods and very accommodating. The food was incredible! The pizza could have cooked for a bit longer but the appetizers were FANTASTIC! Highly recommend!

Being from Upstate NY their pizza was just ok and the chicken wings were a plain tasting wing sitting in a puddle of grease. We ordered a meat lovers pizza and asked for no ground beef and to add cherry peppers. When we got back to the hotel room, we had no cherry peppers minus the ground beef. The girl that took our order was polite, but the rest of the staff weren’t very friendly. It was disappointing since we were going to hit the pizza joint .5 mile away from the hotel room, but this place had better reviews.

Wow. Don’t go here unless you’re hungry!!! The portions were huge. Between eating in and what we took home, my wife and I got three meals. They also had a 28 inch pizza. If you’re having a party, get your pizza here!!

This is one of the worst places to eat. The owner so he claims was very rude and nasty. They had someone working there as he stated for a few days just to help out the family. He used his bare hands to handle everything including food. I watched him use his bare dirty hands to dig out the toppings and spread them on the pizza with no gloves. He wiped his nose with the back of his hands then proceeds to put pizza in the oven with the same hands. I asked for my money back because I was completely turned off. The owner yelled at me and wanted to argue and told me they don’t want my kind in there anymore. It is my pleasure not to give them anymore money after seeing what I saw. I am disgusted that I ate from this place and they do not practice food safety at all. When I told him it was food safety to wear gloves and or wash your hands before dealing with food. He said “You care but I don’t” I’m the owner and my word is law!!! I kept telling him I’m not going back and forth with him. He just wanted to argue but him nor the hole in the wall is worth that energy. People please what I saw you would vomit. All your food is being handled with bare hands. He said the oven is 475° and the heat will kill the germs. I’m sick

Of the two Caretti’s’ that we have in Chambersburg, this is the superior one. The mozzarella on their pizzas has a nice spice to it that makes it stand out from all the other places in town.

I had the most delicious lunch today! I ordered the chicken parm meal, it came with a salad and garlic bread. I had excellent service and decided to eat in. The atmosphere was amazing as well!!

We had delivery at the public pool in Chambersburg and the food was good. The delivery person was nice to and I’m not sure about the Atmosphere because we didn’t eat in the restaurant.

Good food, and I have no complaints at all about the service. They lost a star, though, because of the tvs in the dining room. Not just one but several, and the sound was on, on _all_ of them! So we were forced to listen to some game or other in which we had absolutely no interest…

Have been ordering for more than 20 years. I received a large sub with only 4 thin slices of ham. I called to ask if there was a mistake. I was told it was procedure to only use 4 slices of ham. Very disappointed. Will start using Brothers from now on. Just be aware this was almost $9.
