I am SO glad we gave Cardone’s a try. It doesn’t look like much from the street but we pass it all the time. The covered patio accommodated our newborn in her stroller nicely, the staff was very friendly, the made-to-order food was delicious, and the cocktails are fun! Definitely going to be returning, and glad it’s not super crowded like some other Italian eateries around! Truly by definition a hidden gem.

Small but cozy food is amazing.. I see all the comments on bland food not the case for me at all sum chefs take it easy on seasoning as you can’t please everybody. I have had plenty of Italian food. This is really amazing vibe and food period point blank……. PS I was very comfortable with a great meal will be back for sure!!!!!!!!

My family and I went to Westerville for a dance competition and found this place and decided to go for dinner. When we arrived and saw it was in a strip mall we were hesitant but the reviews were so good we went in. Upon entering we saw that the restaurant is as big as my living room. We were geeeted by a gentleman who asked if we had a reservation. I told him we did not. He looked around and said they could accommodate us and seated my group of 5. He immediately brought us waters and menus. After about 15 minutes a lady came to take our drink orders. She came back soon after and dropped the drinks off and left. We waited another 15 minutes before I stopped the gentleman and asked if we could place an order for appetizers. He responded by saying that we did not have a reservation but they could accommodate us but it would be a few minutes. My friend was so offended by his response she wanted to leave. It had been a long day and we just wanted a meal before starting our 2 hour trip home, So we stayed. But to say you can accommodate us and point out why you’re failing to accommodate us isn’t great service. It was just him and the woman serving all the guests and she was very pleasant. We waited at least an hour before we got appetizers. The calamari was over cooked and the arancini and bruschetta lacked seasoning. The arancini and calamari were also plated on a bed of salad which was a lackluster presentation. The soup lacked seasoning( a trend of the evening) and the salad was 95% lettuce. I was intending on giving a 1 star review but when the entrée’s came! They were all FABULOUS! They lacked salt as everything else but once we attacked our plates with the salt and pepper provided they were delicious! I intended on giving a 1 star review but the main course made a big difference. In their defense it does say on the website reservations are highly recommended, which we didn’t see until I looked for it. Beyond the kitchen needing to utilize the salt more and not so great presentation and the reminder of not having a reservation it was a good meal. I would not return, however I might order to go.

We arrived at 8:09, went inside staff came up asked if we had a reservation, (we did 8:15) said they were getting our table ready for us, and we sat down, our waiter came over and was just very short with us. He wasn’t like this with anyone else. He was very friendly with every other table but ours. The waiter who waited on the table next to us offered them freshly ground pepper and told them about how the owner cooks for the restaurant, he was nice to his tables aswell. Unlike our waiter who was very just rude with us and unwelcoming. I saw him bag another tables food and gave them a nice to go bag and everything, we didn’t get that option. He barely came to our table to ask us how things were, he wasn’t very attentive to our table. We started to notice things the longer we sat there. He was a blond. Very rude. We thought maybe because we weren’t dressed in a suit and tie he didn’t think he would get a tip or anything like that, but regardless of how rude he was to us we ended up tipping him 20%, would of been more if he was a better waiter. We were very excited to try the restaurant because of the reviews. The food was amazing. The wait staff wasn’t. And that’s why I can only give this restaurant two stars.

It has a definite vibe of local’s favorite, a small cozy restaurant (5 booths and 5-6 tables! that’s it) with reasonably priced authentic Italian foods. We ordered a ricotta appetizer, romaine salad (comes with very strong fish taste of Anchovy), margherita pizza, stuffed manicotti pasta. They all came out as rather bland taste, which do not make me feel less satisfied though due to a great service! We will be back! Outdoor seatings are heated and I plan to dine in there during our next visit.

It’s okay. Service was nice. Food and bread took a bit longer than you would expect on a slow evening (not the servers fault, though).

This is a quaint and old-fashioned, family-run type place. Jared was our server. He was great. The dining room is small so you better make reservations. It really filled up. I had Chicken Caprese, wife had Chicken Carbonara. Hers had more flavor than mine. Prices were very reasonable, and my only wish was that portions were larger.

The food was delicious. Hand made fresh from scratch by the owner. Excellent atmosphere, very intimate and romantic. We especially liked our arancini appetizer, the caprese salad and the calamari. For main courses we shared the melt-in-your-mouth balsamic glazed short ribs and the healthiest scallops ever fresco. Everything was served at the appropriate temperatures, good-sized portions (we left totally satisfied), and delicious. We were too full for dessert but we will go back to try some other dishes and possibly bring a dessert home with us. Overall 5 stars.

I left hungry. Except for one of the soups, everything was bland. I mean BLAND. I have had a fair share of lamb shanks in my life – this one distinctively ranks at the bottom of the list. I had to shower it with salt and pepper in order to force some resemblance of taste into it.
