Cash or check ONLY – always worth the stop! The sign says “since 1987” and I’m almost certain everything at this adorable drive-in is still original–and I mean that in the best way! We’ve eaten here twice, when in Winfield for sporting events, and it is the highlight of our trip. Every single thing on the menu is delicious and you can it’s made fresh to order with quality ingredients. I never thought I’d feel so passionate about a “fast food” joint, but trust me when I say it’s worth a stop. We’ve tried the burgers, corn dogs, fries and onion rings. My picky 8 yo rated the onion rings 10/10 and I have to agree. The star on the menu for me has got to be the strawberry shortcake! Service is fast and friendly. The Cardinal Drive Inn has got a good thing going and I hope the continue for many years to come.

Best drive-in burgers around. All their food is good, catfish, grilled chicken, steak sandwich etc. All great. Large variety of drinks and shakes and slushy. Service is fast and friendly too. Ask for ketchup, salty and pepper etc. When you order and it’ll save you time cause they won’t have to go back for it. Great Old school drive-in!

Hello nostalgia, this is an adorable gem of a bygone era. This is a simple American fare, yes it is most likely frozen to start but it was freshly made to order and came fast. The service was spectacular, it was slightly crowded but it is noon on a Monday. Would recommend for a tasty stop and contribute to a nice local eatery.

Great little place in Winfield, AL. I’m a Canadian truck driver that was delivering to Guin, AL. One of the people at the plant recommended this place over Sonic. I’m definitely glad I came here. Super friendly servers too.
