It pains me to post this review. Ever since I was a kid this has been my all-time favorite pizza and that’s for over 50 years! Whenever I would go out of town the very first thing I would want when I would come back was Carbone’s. After being in the hospital the first thing I wanted was Carbone’s. But they have changed things in the past few years. Definitely the cheese is different, and there is a lot less meaningful ingredients especially if you order sausage, my favorite. Although not busy the evening we ate, it took a significantly long period of time to get not only our salad but the pizza. When the pizza arrived it did not look like somebody really cared who made it. The ingredients were not distributed evenly nor was the cheese, and there was not as much sauce as usual. When asking for some additional sauce, they charged a $1.50 and called it a meatball on the bill, because they didn’t have a charge code for the sauce. Usually if there is not enough sauce on the pizza because it’s their mistake, they bring some sauce out no charge. The server was more interested in a conversation with a couple at the bar, causing a significant delay in getting the bill to leave. I was really looking forward to my favorite pizza, and instead walked away disappointed, wondering where I can get some good pizza that tastes like Carbone’s used to taste. I think I am going to cry now.

Ordered pizza and wings. I had asked for pizza to be cooked well done with extra sauce. I get a undercooked pizza with ZERO sauce. Definitely won’t be back. Wings were fried to a crisp as well.

Love this place. Food is always good. Service is outstanding, and sitting on the patio for dinner is a perfect way to wind down the evening. I highly recommend you give it a try.

I realize they are busy, but I think there are open places upstairs and instead of seating us there, they sat us at a small table in the corner in which I don’t even fit! My husband is 6’5″, we are just squished! 0_0 We are ordering 2 large pizzas, cheese curds, and a chicken dinner, how do we fit all of that at this tiny table? My husband is irritated because we are smooshed, so we just ordered everything except for our appetizer go so we can go eat it in our hotel room. Worst experience ever. 🙁 Update: Got back to the hotel and opened the pizzas, not anywhere close to the quality and taste we get at the Carbones in Woodbury, Maplewood, or West St Paul. Chicken was.good though, I would recommend the chicken and not the pizza. 🙁

Partially burt thin crust pizza. And I have never had a pizzia with pineapple on it that was salty tasting. The pizza burrito thing is just a folded crust with very little filling. Save your money.

This is a picture of a 4 topping pizza; not sure where the toppings are. It was about a quarter of an inch thick. Frozen pizzas from the grocery store are better. The service was also non existent. We decided to give it another try since they have new management. We will not be back.
