A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. Apparently they open at 10:30 and because the door was unlocked we were able to go in at 10:23am. The girl in the kitchen told us we had to leave and couldn’t wait for 7 minutes even though it is 34 degrees outside. I’ll never be back.

I ordered what was suppose to be a fish sandwich but I have no idea what this shyt was. This did not taste like fish!!! It was tasteless and soggy. The bread was not fresh. Just overall pure garbage. The meat inside was saturated in oil and was a mushy texture that fell apart. I will be reaching out to corporate to get a full refund!!! They either changed the fish or the cook didn’t know what they were doing. See for yourself.

5/14/22 around 4 pm. No other customers whole time I’m at drive through. But the fish and shrimp dinner was cold, crusty and awful when I got home with it 5 minutes away, after asking them please to fresh cook it for me. And the Order taker was very rude, unprofessional, and did this intentionally, I believe, because I asked her for the 5 shrimp special she forgot to offer. Had to throw it in the trash. We used to love this place. Your food and mostly the service is no longer good. We won’t be back.

If seafood is where your heart is, Captain D’s is the ship to sail with. As far as decent seafood without spending an arm and a leg for small portions, they’ve been doing it best for as long as I can remember. Friendly staff and an amazing selction to choose from, you really cant go wrong. Highly recommend them!!

The food was awful! The size of the fish was very small. The hush puppies were smaller than a golf ball. French fries, fish and hush puppies tasted like they had been sitting for a while. Never seen the kind of batter that was on the fish. I don’t mind if I have to wait for my order but then I get it and it taste like it was cooked hours ago I don’t understand what they were doing to take so long. I’ll wait for news of improvements before I ever go back! And if that’s really the owner answering these reviews why are you sending people to a different link. You were told! Now fix it or wait till it goes under!
