At our Springfield, MO location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

We enjoyed eating here but the men’s bathroom is poor and in need of a hot remodle. IE.. no urinal, toilet seats need replaced. When I told the manager other problems she ran to the bathroom and fixed them immediately.

I enjoyed eating at Captain D’s in Springfield today. I grew up eating at Captain D’s, but I live in Arizona now and haven’t been to one in years. This location has friendly service and delicious seafood just like I remember. I look forward to eating here the next time I’m in town.

2 stars at best! Wait was really long…over 25 minutes. Chicken is the same chicken you can get in walmart deli. The divided 3 compartment take out trays are fine is you want your coleslaw to be nice and warm. And the crab cakes…..what a joke.
