At our Franklin, KY location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

My house mate & I drove from south side of Portland TN, to Franklin Captain Ds today btw 230 & 3 p.m. We placed our order at the drive thru. Courteous & efficient service. Once we got home to enjoy our meal~it was great! Still warm, after a 20 minute drive home. Everything was freshly cooked & perfect! Just wanted give a shout out with a positive note. Great job y’all!

We stopped for dinner, and we were very disappointed the fish was fried so fast the outside got done the inside got partially done but raw fish and batter not done inside. But the unsweetened tea was good as was hubbys shrimp was good. We decided that we won’t be back to this captain D’s.

Some of your people just aren’t meant too work for the public, they should be in the kitchen cooking, I’d rather deal with a kiosk and punch in my own order, than someone who’s not suited for the job, I want somebody whose happy and likes to talk to people not just going through the motions until they can go home
