At our Danville, KY location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.
Fast-food chain serving fried fish & shrimp combo meals along with gumbo & funnel cakes. Based on 312 reviews, the restaurant has received a rating of 4.2 stars. Price $

Sorry but the food was awful. Don’t order the mac and cheese, it was enedible. The fish was old and rubbery, the chicken was some kinda off brand, the coating sucked. The only good part was the shrimp, you know deep down that it’s also some frozen prepackaged food that luckily was not bad tasting. Had the steamed broccoli and it was good but got cold quick. So overall the food gets 2 stars. The last Captain D’s in Lawrence,KY was a thousand times better than here in Danville, KY.

The food is good, for what you are ordering and paying for, but the staff at this location are just wonderful. So impressed and happy at their great attitude and service. Better than most large dine-in restaurants in the area, honestly.
