At our Byram, MS location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

I tried the new spicy fish and it was good but too much salt in the season. The place was clean and the workers were friendly also… Pic was taken after i got home from 69 mile drive & food was cold by then but still good.

Conya greeted me as I entered the restaurant. I inquired about the menu. After discussing. I decided on the Ultimate. I was gonna do take out but as I watched the workers in the kitchen fix my plate, I knew it was gonna be a great meal. I told Conya I wanted to eat in. He put in a drink for free.

They forgot my order when the other orders in my party were done. They quickly prepared it and brought it out. The dining area needed cleaning, almost every table was dirty.

Not gone lie.. the chicken was not the best. The broccoli and mac and cheese were room temperature. The fish was great and also the shrimp . Its usually better than this. I’m not sure what was going on this day.

Angel is THE BEST person who has ever taken my order. She takes pride in her customer service and she really cates about giving the proper service to her customers . She ensures that your order is correct. Always smiling and very friendly!! I always come to this location because I know everything me and my family order will be right!! With only one person in front of me I stood inside 15 minutes waiting to place an order only to be told I couldn’t eat inside because the dining room closes at 9pm. Had it not took almost 20 minutes to get my order I could ate and been gone. This location will be to the charter bus list of restaurants not to take groups to.

The fish resembled over-sized fish sticks. Their fries are a joke and I ordered a $4 Gumbo and its was almost all rice! I was very disappointed! Needless to say I won’t be going there anytime soon again! I’m giving a one star rating only because there is no 1/2 star rating.

I asked for the pricing I received a week before. The person told me i didn’t get that at their location, as if I don’t know where I ate. I guess they were offended because they gave me the smallest pieces of fish they could find (fish fingerlings) and few fries.
