At our Cookeville, TN location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

Ordered a Grilled White fish and shrimp combo. Came out only shrimp. Instead of giving me the white fish they wanted to refund and re-ring. Said it was a huge price difference. I can see the new person making a mistake but not fixing it is unreal. Skip this location. Mt Juliet location is much better.

The food was fast, fresh, and delicious. I requested lemon for my water and they delivered. I did have to wipe my table down before I ate but that was no big deal as the paper towels were there to use.

Never disappointed with Captain D’s wherever we have been in any state. From TN to FL. Always fresh and hit. Always good, and always what we ordered. I have never got a wrong order. Ever. These are well run, clean and tidy restaurants and others could learn from them.

This is a ripoff! Had to order in drive thru, because they was short handed. I ordered the #8 with fries and Mac n cheese. It took about 20 minutes to get my food. Cost $10.51. then 30 minute drive home and opened up the box TN find this joke! When you go through this much of a hassle and then when you finally get to sit down to eat and they give you not even a hand full of fries!! After the wait, the cost, and everything and they still skimp! Really!!

Service was great! The food was good. The restaurant was a little messy, but it was busy when we came in. Our table needed cleaning, so I cleaned it. Restrooms were terrible! The fountain drink machine was continuously spewing Sierra Mist non-stop. Overall, I give it 4 stars, because it could have been “one of those days”.

I understand they were busy. But it’s fish. And it definitely was not cooked long enough. Not even my Fries were cooked enough. I was afraid to eat.

Looked at their website for prices, got to the counter and was charged DOUBLE the price listed. $17 for one plate of food and they couldn’t be bothered to give me the hushpuppies it’s supposed to come with.
