Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

We always get amazing hot food here. The entire staff are friendly and very helpful. We have NEVER gotten poor food or services from these great people. The store is always clean, and that’s a great reflection on management and great training and dedication from all the staff. Keep up the great work guys. Y’all rock. This Captain D’s is one of the cleanest fast food restaurants I have ever been to.

Cashiers could be better. Today (8/18) there was a gentleman by the name of Isaac that took our order, he is very helpful, well spoken, and professional. He has made me change my mind on my previous review. Isaac when cleaning the dining area was going from table to table to ask some of the elderly if they needed anything such as refills or more condiments. He did not have to do that but that is what kind of employee/person he is.

This location is always fairly busy, they put out hot fresh food. If you dine in they bring it to your table now. We enjoy going here, plus my 5yo loves the veggies and shrimp off the kids menu.

Have the portion sizes just dropped significantly at fish places? I had three small pieces of fish. The smallest order of fries I have ever seen in my life. I had 12 fries. The slaw was good and had a good portion. The staff was friendly.

Always good food I never have nothing bad to say until today I paid 2.19$for a side if mac n cheese and I got a dollop instead of a side and the paper they put it on its comes off in the food so it was a total waste of money I asked them where my mac n chesse was they said that’s how they are doing it now which I understand that but really eat paper no thank u and they didn’t even try to make it right so no more sides for me
