A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

I got a 3 pc fish meal with fries and macaroni and cheese. I was just eating a piece until I noticed this other piece completely covered with black pieces and specs. Now i understand a few specs per fish but to be completely covered. Something is wrong with it; idk if it’s bugs; if something else fell into the oil while cooking that piece or what but it’s disgusting. Now I’m having a hard time trying to finish the rest.

Fast and friendly service and the food was the best I’ve ever had at a Captain D’s. I had the fish and chicken combo with fries and hushpuppies. They had the option for spicy fish, so I tried it and it was delicious. My son had the giant fish sandwich and my daughter had chicken strips, both cleaned there plates. I would definitely recommend and go again if I’m in town.

I’m not going to give the place a 1 or a 5 star for food, serving, or atmosphere because I’m, not a fish eater. The family wanted to get fish knowing that I hate eating fish lol, so I got my usual chicken. But when asked if I wanted too add a drink to my order I said no along with can I get my drink I have in the car and was told yes. That made me happy. But as said I’m only giving a 4 because business was dead and that’s not a good way to judge the serving unless the whole time no one came to ask about our service which happened. So with it dead in the restaurant im not gonna give any 5’s or 3s or 1s I liked how it was that day and unfortunately for me I’ll go back next time the family drags me along to get fish and I only get my usual chicken.

Waited 20 mintues on this and it was still cold and they only gave me 3 pieces of chicken one of them broke in half which I guess they count as four…plus the chicken is so small two pieces shouldn’t even count as one.. if you want chicken just save your money and time and just go to kfc of zaxby’s their chicken is bigger and when u get two sides of fries they are actually orders of fries not a single order made to try and look like two

Total garbage. You could tell the fish was just dipped back into the grease. Not fresh. And then upon further eating.. pulled a piece of fish apart only to find a long hair fried into the batter.

Service was alright. We had two orders of food that had sides of green beans and they were fine until we found some kind of nasty grey object in both of our green bean bowls Not really appetizing if you ask me. Also what even is in these crab heads??
