A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

We got burnt over cooked shrimp and sad thing is someone checked our food before giving it to us. We will Not go back to this location after speaking to the rude manger..

I had a good experience at this Captain D’s. I ordered the lobster bites, shrimp, and fish meal. All of my food was good. The employees were very nice and friendly as well. Our wait was about ten minutes for our food which I think is a decent time when waiting on fish. I would recommend checking for coupons in the mail before going because they can save you several dollars. The restaurant was clean in the dining area. I would go back for more!

I went in on the 9th of June about 6 p.m. they the drive-thru was very busy so I decided it would be faster for me to go in and get my food when I went in there were only two employees and they were both very angry cussing hollering at customers Etc I worked in food service so I was this kind as I could be I waited patiently they rang up my food a 10-piece family fish meal in a 10-piece butterfly shrimp it came up to $38.54 I put my card in she walked away came back and then said that it was declined! There was no way there was an issue on my end it had to be there she said we had to run it again I asked if it would double charged my card she said no ran it again I went home called the bank and I had been double charged I gave it an hour or so because they had to close the lobby because they were so overwhelmed I called and asked what could be done about me getting overcharged and she said that there was nothing that they could do I had to take it up with the bank and then she hung up if I could give zero stores that’s what I would do I have tried to contact corporate and give my information four times .. the issue is still not fixed alsomt $40.00 I’ve lost .. will Not be back ever !!!!!

2nd time I’ve visited this establishment and the second time I’ve done dine in and both times the flies almost carried my … back out the door or eaten me alive. The staff was just ok not friendly not rude. For the price to be so high as a customer you typically expect thanks for your visit or a smile. But even so the chicken seemed done on the outside but raw in the middle. The slaw was the worst I’ve ever had. My main concern was the Flys however they were so so so bad. Something has got to be up with sanitation with as many Flys as they have. I think the health department may need to check this place out. I’ve never sat anywhere and worried about dying by Both times this happened to me.

Needs new management at this location! I have been to this location several times over the last 10 years regularly with many different types of orders and service. Better service came on nights when we ordered family meals and such but anytime i went in the day time on lunch with coworkers on our break it seemed very unprofessional, unclean, and was not up to par like as such as when i would get my nightly orders for my family. But my most recent visit was on Tuesday night and I had to wait 20 to 30 minutes on my order. It usually never takes this long. The staff on duty this night was very rude, unprofessional, and acted as if i was bothering them for being a customer that simply just wanted their order. I am not sure if this store has had a drastic change in employees, but this place has simply went downhill.

I am an over the road truck driver. I went to go into the lobby, and the doors were locked. I wait for the cars to clear the drive-thru so I can ask them what is going on. Cars keep coming, so I go back over to the doors. One was unlocked. I asked a worker if the lobby was open, and she said no and that the doors should be locked. She said you could go through the drive-thru, I told her that I won’t fit because I was in a semi. She locked the door and went on her way. She didn’t even try to get my business. Captain D’s is off of my list permanently. I would give a zero if I could. Ended up going to Dairy Quee .
