At our Ozark, AL location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

Worst Captain D’s I have ever stepped foot into. The person at the counter was not very nice. When we pulled up the cook was out front smoking. The food came on styrofoam plates. The hush puppies were gummy, the batter on the fish wasn’t cooked all the way through. The few fries that were on our plates were ok, I mean how can you screw up fries. The sweet tea was not sweet or tea, it was slightly sweet light brown water. The bill was $24. That will be our last visit to any Captain D’s. As we left everything on the table, and walked out to leave, the cook was again out front smoking. Maybe if he spent more time in the kitchen, he could get the food right. Such a disappointing lunch.

The service here is in my top three for best fast food service restaurants in Ozark. They are fairly quick at getting your order out to you. It’s always fresh, hasn’t been sitting under a light. Very friendly and helpful if you aren’t sure what to order. The lobster bites are awesome by the way.

After a drive of 20-15 minutes the food still wasn’t done the service was horrible we bought a ice tea and they forgot it we waited 5+ minutes waiting for them to come back to the window after my dad mouthed Ice tea to the employee or manager the food was not good the fish was nasty and the Mac and cheese was way to cheesy found hair in my dad’s plate the order were all messed up and in the wrong plate and the ice tea was hot
