At our Oxford, AL location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

I went thru the drive thru today and ordered fish n fries with a side of shrimp. It was hot, fresh, and AMAZING! I couldn’t even drive and eat, I had to pull over and eat because it was that good! Kudos to the manager and crew for doing such a GREAT job!

I ordered 2 meals and both of them was wrong. Seems like teenagers was running the store and no one was checking food as it was coming out. I spent 36.00 for missing food and the cheesecake was very small for the cost.

First, I wish to apologize to Zyeirah and her two co-workers who were working Sat. Feb. 18,2023. I thought I had sang their praise!! They were the only ones at work that day. Yes, it took too long to get my meal but they were doing their BEST and with graciousness and a smile. They are the kind of employees employers NEED and Want and should be commended!!

My family and I ate there a couple weeks ago and we’re a family of 4 and my son’s have a Big appetite especially for seafood, but we ate there for dinner and customer service was great, they were friendly and professional. The wait time was only about 25-30 minutes, but we didn’t mind because all the seafood it’s made to order, basically fresh good food cooked once ordered, So we really appreciated that.

The older black lady appears to be the manager. She’s very rude. I have been by there 2 different times at 11:25 a.m. for her to tell me they didn’t open until 11:30. A third time I went to the drive thru at 6:00 p.m, a lady said hold on and literally never came back. There was nobody else in line. So we left after about10 minutes. I’m writing this review because I love captain D’s food when it’s cooked the right way. I sincerely hope these things get fixed so we can start eating there again. I miss captain D’s.
