At our Forestdale, AL location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

Great food. Service is horrible. Went to pick up an order for Doordash a few days ago. Waited I. The drive thru line for 10 minutes because they had the lobby locked, get to the order box and they told me theybga e the order away already. That’s not how Doordash works, I told him that and he just kept repeating ” we already gave it away” so if you order door dash from this place be warned: THEY WILL GIVE YOUR FOOD AWAY TO ANYONE WHO COMES AND SAYS THEYRE WITH DOORDASH WITH PI UT ANY PROOF APPARENTLY!!!!!

My family and I ate dinner here last night. The drive thru and the inside were both extremely busy. But all the workers did a wonderful job getting the food out as fast as possible. I expected our wait time for our order to be a little long, but everything came in a timely manner. The food was delicious and very fresh. The only reason I didn’t give five stars is because the women’s bathroom needed to be cleaned. Someone left a used feminine hygiene product on top of the toilet paper holder. There’s no telling how long it has been there, but that was extremely nasty. And I know for a fact that a worker went to the bathroom after I attempted to use the bathroom. But to my knowledge while we were there the bathroom still wasn’t cleaned.

Placed an online order only to get there and the doors are locked. Was told I had to wait in the drive thru line to get my food. And of course the drive thru line was wrapped around the building and out onto 78 hwy. I refused and demanded my food. Had to wait another 30 minutes to actually get my food. Poor management!

I found out I needed to order another meal. I asked at the window and was told no. That I would have to drive around. That was the only option they gave me. No one was behind me when I asked, but someone did start ordering, so I get not inconveniencing them, but they could have taken the 2nd order to start cooking and I would have picked up inside. Yet the only option was to pick up my food, then either go inside or drive around, then start the cooking process. It was obvious they did not care while they were laughing and standing around.

The service was great but it’s been a while since I ate at Captain D’s when did they stop putting the tartar sauce in the dining area? Also when did they stop giving drinks with the meals?

Terrible customer service…waited almost 30min…and still didn’t get all my food…then they want 2 get an attitude when I call and complain…spent $30 and waited 30min when I got 3 kids to feed…and u want to write my name down just to come get some fries that should have came in my order after waiting 30min….then when I get tired of waiting in the drive through pickup….I go in and the food was just sitting on the counter…like WTH ♂️ ♂️ ♂️ ♂️
