At our Columbus, GA location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

I wish I could give 0 stars. Waited 30 minutes if my lunch break for 3 piece cooked country. I received 3 piece cooked batter and burnt. Was so disgusting. Due to on a tight schedule to get back to work just attempted to eat it. Ended up in trash $10 down the drain

I’ve been to this location in the pass and everyone was nice but I’ve been coming again at least twice a week for the last month and I never realize how awesome their customer service is at this location, I work at the Walmart down the street and it’s a treat for me to come down here on my lunch break when I don’t go home…. All Captain Ds should have a Miss Farrasha and miss Wanda because her customer service is phenomenal , all of the associate here have outstanding customer service, and I love the way that they remember all of their customers and what they customers like above all this is the best Captain D’s I’ve ever eaten it in my life food is awesome and it’s always nice and clean . I hate eating in fast food restaurants because of being afraid of seeing something so nasty and unclean, that it may spoil my appetite but it’s not a second thought with this place i sit and eat every time i visit

Service was friendly and efficient. Food tasted great but the portion of Cajun Catfish was disappointing. We each got two tiny pieces, about half the size pictured on the menu. Both pieces would amount to about one very small filet. However, to restate, the fish and everything else tasted delicious, just not worth the price.

This LOCATION never disappoints! The fish is always hot and fresh when I do drive thru, carry out or dine in! The green beans taste almost better then my mom’s and she makes the best green beans and the workers are always friendly and inviting! I love this location it is the only one in Columbus I really care to get my food from! There new spicy fish and Cajun catfish is on point delicious!

If I could have left zero stars I would have. My husband and I sat in the long line in drive thru today waiting to place my order. We later watched a bald head middle-aged gentle come from the back door with his gloves on and apron taking out the trash. As we observed the gentleman handle this disgusting trash can, lift the dumpster lid and empty the can we thought maybe he would discarded the apron and gloves (keep in mind both the apron and gloves were disposable) NOT the case he went back in with his gloves and apron still on after handling this disgusting trash. So why would he dispose of them once inside the building. He failed to be sanitary from the beginning. So we left and we were next in line, we won’t be back for a while and we love Captain D’s

I couldn’t tell how long it has been since eating Captain Ds but it’s the first time I ever dined in. I must say I was impressed with the amount of food I got for $8.99. It was hot, fresh, and delicious! The atmosphere was comfortable and real clean. The service was good. I do wish they served Coke instead of Pepsi. I will definitely be coming back for more.

Awful. Don’t go for dinner they forgot to put my green beans in my bag. My fish looked like someone had eaten it an baked potato was extremely hard and over cooked. This doesn’t happen with the day shift but closer to closing your better of not going.

You don’t deserve one star. There is a loud obnoxious rude and insulting employee on the evening shift. He has been rude to myself & other customers (particularly elderly customers). I stopped short of getting out of my car on my final order, but your employee was not worth bail. Do not use this location! The food is not bad, but the service is in the toilet! Not another penny!

Captain D’s on Airport Thruway has to be my favorite one in Columbus. Out of the last 17 years I’ve lived in the area, I’ve only gotten bad customer service maybe once or twice. The food is prepared nicely and always hot. For this to be like a fast food seafood restaurant, the food is delicious. Initially, I thought I did not like crab cakes, but I tried these and fell in live with the wholesome taste. All their sides are good; however, I am not a fan of their corn on the cob. It tastes bland to me. Well most places corn on the cob taste bland to me. I have to put lots of butter and salt on it. The staff is very accommodating and friendly.
