At our Thomasville, GA location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

This store used to be great but with the new staff, my last two visits, my order had been missing items. First I got the Cajun fish and shrimp and had no shrimp and no Cajun. Today I went and got fish and shrimp spicy with no spice and chicken and fish with okra which they charge extra for and didn’t get my okra. This will definitely be the last time I go there. Plus for two meals and two drinks was $30. Never again

First time at D’s. Mac and cheese was very cheesy. Hush puppies were good, too. But the piece of resistance was the fish. Nice battered crust, with plenty of white flaky fish inside. Not your mother’s fish sticks, which were mostly stick and no fish. It’s definitely my favorite place for deep-fried fish from now on. Mikey Likey

Insane wait to even place order then further insane wait at the window. The food is usually good, but they are often out of items and the wait coupled with poor attitude of some staff make it not worthwhile.

The staff was nice. The food was horrific. The rice was so hard it felt as if we were chewing on glass bits. The fried pieces tasted like very overused old oil.

All 3 orders were wrong, barely any fries, not one hushpuppy between all 3 meals and my fish looked like fish sticks not one actual sized regular piece of fish. Tried calling the store, of course got no answer. Yall lost your minds charging the prices that you do! I spent $40 for 11 fishsticks and 3 small handfuls of fries! I’d give you no stars if I could!

Usually I would give 5 stars for this restaurant but tonight was terrible. They messed up the order and refused to fix it. They would rather try and argue with you than fix the problem. The two lady’s working would rather complain about being tired than to help fix our order. Highly disappointed. Do not try calling the store as none of them know how to answer the phone. The skinny black homeless looking lady sat on her phone on the bench complaining that she was tired instead of trying to help customers. They do not believe in telling customers when something is out of stock. We paid for an $8 meal and half of it was missing due to being out of stock and they didn’t say anything and then refused to fix it. Not worth the trip or headache.

I stop at the one in Bainbridge quite often so I decided I would stop in Thomasville. When we arrived, we were greeted. I ordered a fish sandwich combo with an unsweet tea. They put the lids on incorrect broke the lids handed me the cup anyway I said do you by chance have a sweet and low he said no I’ll just put some sweet tea in it. I said I can’t have the sugar I said no thank you we get to the table our food is not golden brown. It’s like dark brown. My son’s order was messed up and he repeated it three times when he ordered it. Fish and shrimp combo. He got fish, no shrimp my daughter-in-law‘s shrimp were so hard that they could not even be chewed, they were that over cooked but on the way to the table all of the tables were turned in complete array like someone had swept under them. At one point nobody bothered to put them back. I was going to dump out the unsweet tea since I didn’t have sweeten low and just get some a diet from the machine in the lobby but I’ll wait it didn’t work either, they did not care that the food was Bert that the order was messed up nor did they care that they didn’t have sweeten low up to summit up. They just don’t care captain D’s. I expect better from you. You might want to try new man.
