At our Calhoun, GA location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

Food was cold and tasted like it had been pre cooked and warmed. Fries cold, green beans and broccoli cold. Hush puppies were cold and inside not done. Ice dispenser sounded like it was dieing. Bathroom was nasty. Toilet seat falling off. Door handle and lock not functioning properly. Fried pickles looked so bad we didn’t even try them. Then the guy asked what he could replace them with. Didn’t offer refund on them and we didn’t eat a one. Praying we don’t get sick.

I pulled up and they told me it would be a 10 minute wait just to take my order because they are understaffed. I was willing to wait and wouldn’t complain if that was the only issue.The reason I drove off and decided not to eat is because 15 minutes later when the guy finally came back to take my order he was very rude. Piece of work was probably a manger and that’s why they can’t keep a staff. won’t be coming back.

Have been multiple times with similar good results. I typically arrive just before the noon rush. Have always had good service here on all orders. Traffic in and out can be somewhat congested at busy times as it shares same lot with multiple businesses.

My husband and I both got the deluxe platter and an order of mozzarella sticks. My crab cakes were burnt. The fish was great. We didn’t get any marinara for our mozz sticks. Service was really good. We were in and out.

Had tilapia, blackened with rice and green beans. Husband had fried clams, macaroni and cheese and fries. Tilapia was okay. Green beans were too loaded with ham. Macaroni and cheese overly orange. Fries lukewarm. Clams were very small & looked to be the bottom of the bag (don’t think they hand bread these). Disappointed overall, especially when my husband has been waiting for clams to come back & signs posted everywhere about them making a comeback.

Went through the drive-through to pick up my mobile order the young lady at the window did not double-check to make sure everything was in the bag just kept lying saying it was shoved us the food and ran off to go sit and talk with patrons in the dining room area. I proceeded to explain my food looked like it was pulled out of the trash and I am missing items another very helpful associate comes up and fixes the order while the young woman continues to sit in the dining room talking to friends I asked for the gm number and the manager gave me a fake number to resolve the issue. Never eating here again!
