At our McDonough, GA location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

When the owners are arguing and I’m sitting in the dining area! Voices raised to the top of their lungs. If this was a chain Captain D’s they would have employees, but only husband and wife. Sad that I will never go back to eat anything. To top it off, I tried asking if everything was ok….he said eat your food. Sigh!!

I decided to make a quick stop to this location. I was in a hurry so I used the drive-thru. The staff were very nice, there wasn’t a long wait. The problem is there was hair in my food. Not just one strain but two strains. They had to see this before handing the food out because it was the first thing I noticed when I opened the container. It’s my fault for not checking before I left but I was in a hurry. Money wasted, no lunch today!

It was horrible customer service they gave me at least 7 fries for a whole meal and gave me a hard time just to add more. The manager was very aggressive and inconsiderate.

Love this location. Friendly staff and food is decent. No complaints. I usually have a wait but I believe it’s because the food is always fresh. Great Job Captain D’s. They also have a 98 score as of this review. I will continue my weekly visits.

The Indian guy whom owns the establishment is rude as hell. I ordered a kids meal with corn…..he said we out of butter for your corn… So I asked for more vinegar….. He looked at me and said I already gave you two and had the nerves to roll his eyes and close the window….with this overcooked chicken….81 East …… Rudeness….
