At our Snellville, GA location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

The sign points out they are under new management, but the issues are still the same. A lack of customer service continues to dominate the atmosphere here. The cashier’s underwear was clearly showing, so I don’t understand why a belt isn’t worn. Using personal cell phones is more important than service. And for the life of me, the app simply doesn’t work.

Normally, the food is delicious. However today My fish was burnt, and so were my funnel cakes. They were out of most sides and condiments! Drive thru cashier was nice and apologetic for being out of items. Explained they were waiting on a truck. Still no reason for food to be burnt!

We both got the Seafood Sampler platter and it was so good! The shrimp were tasty, the crab cakes were cooked perfect, the fish and chips had the perfect crunch, the hush puppies and sides had good flavor! Andrea was very friendly and our food was served fast and fresh. Hats off to the cooks and staff. Will definitely come back.

My coworker and I go to Captain D’s at least once a week. I want to give Kudos to India. From our 1st visit India has been awesome! She is always friendly, and she remembers us and what we usually order. She has a great personality and she does her job well. We went to Drive thru at 9:30 asked for White fish with Fries and Cole slaw. The lady said they didn’t have Cole slaw, Ok give me Broccoli, she then stated, we don’t have any white fish. I said what kind of fish do you have and her reply was we don’t have any fish we are getting ready to close. I said you all close a 10:00, it is now 9:31. Unfortunately no response from anyone at all. No one came to the window after telling lies simply because they didn’t want to prepare the food! Absolute AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE!

Have always loves their batter fried fish and this week tried the catfish filets. I like that you can request meals with 1, 2, or 3 pieces and can now add on other pieces to the meal. The catfish corn meal batter is the perfect amount. Refreshing alternative to hamburgers!
