A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

The only problem with this store is that they don’t post their hours at the door. They’ve been closed early and on certain days of the week with no notice over the last two years. This franchisee needs to post a temporary sign with the correct hours of operation.

this place is AMAZING!!! the food is better than any other captain d’s around. the food was hot, fresh, and delicious!! it was also fast. they were short staffed so the lobby was closed but we just parked and ate after ordering in the drive thru. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

I’m really disappointed all the way around. Their bathroom floor was extremely slippery like they hadn’t mopped it in months. Went through the drive-thru and waited about 15 min for one car. We left to drive around to look for something else. We couldn’t find anything we liked and hoped the person was gone, so we circled back over 20 min later, and the person in the drive-thru was still there ordering. The people in front of us and behind us left, we did as well. I’m sure they lost over $200 from that one person. Instead of telling the car to circle around once they knew what they wanted, a lot of customers missed out on what they wanted or wanted to try for the first time. Your customer service; there is none. Absolutely ridiculous.!!

Bad customer service. Went through drive thru worker and car in front was talking the whole time. When that person leave got me pull up and waiting for food for long time. Hope food taste good. Take my 5 stars away, because customer service was horrible and food didn’t taste good. The fish was hard. Lugoff is way better and customer service good. Update: I usually don’t give anyone a chance, but I gave this location another chance but it was the same old thing. Bad customer service and waited for food for a long time. Then had hair in my fish. I’m not the type of person who like confrontation but I didn’t let them know because I know how ghetto some these workers get. I know that I don’t have black hair, my hair brown. Also, the food was cold. Lugoff captain D’s would never.

This was the worst experience I have ever had at a Captain D’s. They were rude and apparently incoherent. Glenda and Timwanda were laughing and mocking me in regards to the conversation both over the speaker and in the window. They didn’t get my order right, and kept interrupting me while I was trying to give them the order. Then, she took almost 5 minutes with my card and nearly threw my food at me. The fish was undercooked, the shrimp tasted like dishwashing liquid, the potato was dry, and hush puppies were hard. My daughter went in to get the things we were missing, and then Timwanda threatened to physically harm her and snatched the receipt. I have never had such rude, disrespectful, ignorant, ghetto, backwoods unprofessionalism in my life. I tried to write a review on the website but got an error message. I am thoroughly disgusted and disappointed that such people work here.
